Tanwarin Sukkhapisit is a master at visual storytelling. Her film Red Wine in the Dark Night is one of the best vampire films I have ever seen. She did an incredible job with the series The Eclipse and her newest series, 609 Bedtime Story is nothing short of superb.

The newest series to star Thitiwat Ritprasert (Ohm) and Natouch Siripongthon (Fluke) is the suspense-filled supernatural-romance drama I have been waiting for.

Ritprasert plays Mum a playboy pub owner who can’t keep his wick dry – but when you look like Ohm, why would you want to? Newcomer Watcharayu Suradet (Potae) is his best friend, Game, who tries so hard to keep Mum out of trouble – but fails every single time! Luckily Vee (Pronpiphat Pattanasettanon, nicknamed Plustor) is always there to help. Siripongthon’s character Dew doesn’t show up until the very end of the first episode and he completely turns Mum’s world for a loop when he confesses he’s in love with him. Mum (who’s never been with a man before), falls head-over-heels – and right into bed with Dew. But then, without warning, Dew is shot, right in front of him.

Episode two opens right where episode one leaves off, with Mum waking up for what he perceives to be a dream. He tries to get on with his day, and his life as a playboy womanizer, but – he can’t get Dew out of his mind. Even when a beautiful woman knocks on his door and literally throws herself at him, All he can think about is the boy from his dreams. After telling Game, his sister Mint (Thasorn Klinnium, nicknamed Amy), and some of their other friends about what’s happened, they try to discover if Dew is a ghost who’s haunting him. However, as it turns out, Dew isn’t a ghost, but rather a person who exists in a parallel universe, whose timeline (from what I could tell) is running backward towards Mum.

The lighting in this series is phenomenal and almost like its own character. The music (both the score and OST) is beautiful and fun and there are even the little easter egg references to OhmFluke’s other series. To be frank, it’s a top-notch production that should not be missed. Also, I just want to take a moment to recognize Potae and his innocently sweet smile. He’s such a dreamboat (and so incredibly sweet).
