Extortion, Coercion, Defamation and Injury are just some of the charges on the list of charges that Build Jakapan filed today at Ratchada criminal court.

As you may remember a month ago Miss. Poi Patchayamon, one of the writers of KinnPorsche took to social media and accused Build Jakapan of emotional and physical abuse, theft and other offences which she claims to have suffered during their two-year relationship. Since then Build Jakapans life has drastically changed; he was suspended from all Be On Cloud activities, he was dropped by brands he was representing, excluded from participating in tours and attacked maliciously by fans on social media. As a result, he decided to take a break from social media and resign from his agency Be On Cloud. He held a press conference to announce his departure but promised to keep fighting this case in court until his name was cleared, for himself, his friends, his family and his fans. Since then, Build, along with his lawyer Mr. Ronakrit Sripremhathai have been compiling documents and evidence to prove his innocence which he presented today at court. After the formal proceedings he held a press conference outside the court room to explain his side of the story.

“Thank you to the media for your attention, and for allowing me to come out and answer your questions. I feel strangely excited today. I didn’t think that in life I would have to submit documents to sue anyone. I’ve only seen it done in movies, I didn’t think I’m going to sue anyone in real life. The matters which I want to clarify on are physical harm. It was not done, and I have never thought of physically harming her. I’ve never behaved like that since I was a child. If you ask anyone who grew up with me, I don’t behave like that at all”

He went on to explain that he had a close relationship with Miss. Patchayamon, they were friends and often fooled around. Everything they did was playful, there was no physical abuse. He mentioned the clips that have been circulating on social media;

“If me hitting her shoulder is abuse, then her pushing me until I almost fell off a building should be called attempted murder, right? It’s not! so it’s funny to me. In terms of violence, if I played rough with her I would apologize to her the same day”

On the second issue of pregnancy Build claims he was not aware of any pregnancy while they were together. It was only when he tried to end the relationship that she mentioned she had had an abortion. Build states that had he known she was pregnant he would have accepted the child and taken care of it despite their relationship being over. He was willing to take responsibility even though he didn’t love her. But in all honesty he doesn’t believe there was any pregnancy in the first place.

On the matter of property which Miss. Patchayamon gave to Build and wanted to reclaim, Build has returned everything and proof of this is with his lawyer. He admits to borrowing money from her in the past but the amount of 10 million Baht was not accurate. All the money was returned including the value of unsolicited gifts which she gave him. According to Build there were occasions where she would deposit money into his account without his knowledge and he would have to send it back to her. He doesn’t know why she did this; she would have to answer those questions herself.

And lastly on the matter of their relationship, Build claims he had asked to end the relationship on numerous occasions but Miss. Patchayamon refused. It was an ongoing problem.

“I was scared of her, she intimidated me. I was really scared she would expose everything if I broke up with her. She would tell everyone that we were in a relationship and more problems would have come from that. I couldn’t consult anyone on this type of thing. It caused me to fall into a state of suffering, not being able to live. But now I’m not afraid. If I don’t fight now, when will I fight? After these issues arose I did not want to contact her in any way. Because I didn’t think talking about it would make things better.” … “I can’t look into the future but I will try to correct my past mistakes, the things I have done or haven’t done. And I will develop myself to be a better person every day like I used to be. I always say that anyone can criticize me in a rational way and I can accept it”.

Build mentioned he willing to sit down with Poi and talk but he believes mediation would be hard. He doesn’t hold any grudges; he believes this situation is karma which they both brought upon themselves. He thanked his fans for standing by him, his family, his friends and Pond CEO of Be On Cloud for never leaving his side. He has filed several charges some more serious than others but refused to comment on the issue of claiming damages. He believes the evidence he has gathered is sufficient to prove his innocence and win this case. Builds lawyer Mr. Ronakrit made it known to the public that slanderous comments on all social media platforms are being followed, and legal action will be taken against anyone causing damage to Build. Some lawsuits are already in progress and they are willing to fight this until the end.

The court appointment is set for May but no specific date has been set. The court will issue a summons to Miss. Patchayamon to present herself for answering the charges. It is worth noting that Build has filed a criminal law suit not a civil law suit, that means if successful Miss. Patchayamon will be looking at actual jail time for each count.
