Love of the Sea

An upcoming Cambodian BL web drama produced by Plerng Kob. It stars social media influencers Rainnie Dara, Ksartra, and Marie Thach. The story portrays Samuth, which means “sea” in Khmer. He is a modest young boy and the only child. His father is a passionate fisherman and very business-minded, he manages a fishing port. The family is quite well-off and doesn’t need to worry about their daily consumption. However, the relationship between the father and son is like rain in a dry season. Silence is Samuth’s language and his only response to his dad. He doesn’t talk too much and doesn’t express his feelings to anyone, not even his mom. He meets Veatu, a young man who seems like his best friend and with whom he can share his thoughts and dreams.

Mr. Cinderella – Season 2

Vietnam based production company ‘O2 Productions’ has announced a continuation of their popular series ‘Mr. Cinderella’. The prequel was released in 2022 and is available to watch for free on YouTube and GagaOOLala. The series follows the story of Dung, who often called Khoa his “Cinderella” when they were young because he believed Khoa was a girl. The two lose contact but are reunited a few years later after an accident where Dung is hurt and Khoa saves him. The shows stars Nguyễn Bá Vinh as Dung and Trương Minh Thảo as Khoa.

Club Friday 15: Moments and Memories

Change 2561 is ready to release the next instalment in the ‘Club Friday’ saga. The feature will star Saiparn Apinya, Na Naphat and Bank Mondop. The story portrays Renee, a lesbian who is heartbroken when her ex Punpun leaves her for a man. Despite knowing that Nart himself is gay, Renee decides she wants to marry him, believing that her love for him would fix everything. Renee has to give up and accept that there are limits when it comes to love when she allows a third person, Songpol, to live in their house. The series will air on July 9th 2023.

My Dear Gangster

A webtoon by Ken, will be adapted into a TV Series starring Meen Nichakhoon and Ping Krittanun. Filming is expected to begin at the end of June – August. A shy introvert has a long time crush on his handsome friend, but then again, everyone likes him. Feeling like he can’t compete for his affections, the introvert dives into The Legend of Saga, an online game where he plays as “idealize.” He befriends “thegreatmirae,” a cute healer who clearly has a soft spot for him… and who just so happens to be a real-life gangster. Could this tough guy be the ideal lover he’s been looking for after striking out in the real world?

Stay Still

The first installment in Jupiter Entertainment Limited’s “Love Spread” project. “Stay Still” is a series with a nostalgic feel, reminiscent of Hong Kong films. It consists of six episodes and is scheduled to be released on YouTube in July this year, although the exact airing date has not been confirmed yet. The story revolves around two couples, Damien and Hayden, and Kelvin and Archie. [1] Hayden has just moved to a new place, coincidentally he helps Damien’s grandmother and meets Damien in the process. The two individuals, who had no connection before, start a complicated relationship after an unexpected kiss. [2] Archie reunites with his high school sweetheart, Kelvin, who is now married. However, they disregard their circumstances and rekindle their love.

Bump Up Business

South Korean boy group ‘Only One of’ will star is an upcoming bl series ‘Bump Up Business’. The project was adapted from the webtoon of the same name by RK Studio. Nine and Mil, two of the members will be playing the lead couple.

Five-year trainee Eden is finally given the option to debut as an idol as part of a duo with Jihoon, a veteran of the industry who has lost the spotlight due to past scandals. The two are expected to do a “business gay performance”, providing skin-ship and fan-service in order to gain popularity. This is difficult for Eden as he happens to be homophobic. While Eden is unsure, he agrees in order to pursue his dreams. The appearance of top stars Hyunbin and Jay also complicates things…

The Hidden Character

Be On Clouds first ever reality show ‘THC’ wrapped up this weekend in a spectacular live show. In a surprising twist of events, Ta Nannakun and Copper Phuriwat were announced as the winners. The two have won several prizes, including the chance to star in an original ‘Be On Cloud’ series written by popular Thai author Sammon. The theme of the series Is a 90s Teen Slasher Horror with lots of unexpected twists and turns. The production team has already started working on the script of the series and it is expected to be released in 2024.

The Promise: Honeymoon Lost and Found

Before we dive into ‘The Promise Season 2’ which summarizes the love story of Phupha and Nanfah, devonte296 is gracing us with a special episode titled ‘Honeymoon Lost and Found’. This episode explores themes of love, sweetness, happiness and sharing. More details will be revealed on July 3rd 2023, at 5:00 PM (GMT+7).

Patrick Rangsimants Novels get webtoon adaptations

Thai author Patrick Rangsimant announced that four of his works will be adapted into webtoons by Korean company Kakao. Patrick is very well known in the BL universe as he is the creative mind behind the series ‘My Ride’ starring Fluke Pongsakorn and Fame Chawinroj. He also has 3 novels that are currently being adapted into series at the moment by different production companies, all of which feature gay couples. The series are ‘Mystique In The Mirror’, ‘My Imaginary Boyfriend’ and ‘7 Days Before Valentine’. The four works which will be made into webtoons are ‘I Love You I Kill You’, ‘My Imaginary Boyfriend’, ‘7 Days Before Valentine’ and ‘My Imaginary Boyfriend’. Stay tuned for more details.

Heavens Official Blessing – Season 2

Heaven Official’s Blessing (Chinese: 天官赐福) is a Chinese novel series written by Mo Xiang Tong Xiu. The donghua was released on Bilibili and Funimation in October 2020. The release of a second season has been confirmed by Bilibili.

Synopsis:

Eight hundred years ago, Xie Lian was the Crown Prince of the Xian Le kingdom. He was loved by his citizens and was considered the darling of the world. He ascended to the Heavens at a young age; however, due to unfortunate circumstances, was quickly banished back to the mortal realm. Years later, he ascends again–only to be banished again a few minutes after his ascension. Now, eight hundred years later, Xie Lian ascends to the Heavens for the third time as the laughing stock among all three realms. On his first task as a god thrice ascended, he meets a mysterious ghost who rules the ghosts and terrifies the Heavens, yet, unbeknownst to Xie Lian, this ghost king has been paying attention to him for a very, very long time

Low Frequency

‘Low Frequency’ is a TV series adaptation based on a best-selling novel by Dawin with the same name. The drama stars actors Ping Guntapat and Guitar Sarin. The trailer portrays the story of Mon, an interior designer who can see ghosts since he was a child. He gets involved with Tinnapat Thanatikarn, known as “Thames”, a young famous actor who is seriously injured after his car lost control and collided with a tree. One day, his cousin Bua, who works as Thames’ manager, asks him for help. The two go to the hospital, where Mon sees Thames’ spirit inside the room where Thames’ body was in a coma. Mon pretends he doesn’t see Thames’ spirit, but the spirit follows him home. ‘Low Frequency’ is set to be released in July, and will air every Saturday at 10:30 PM GMT+7 (Thailand Standard Time) on channel 34, Amarin TV.
