Mile Phakphum Romsaithong is an actor, singer, composer, and musician from the Thai agency Be On Cloud (BOC). Apo Nattawin Wattanagitiphat is an actor and model from Be On Cloud agency. They formed their pairing in 2021 for the series KinnPorsche, in which they played the lead roles of Kinn (Mile) and Porsche (Apo).
The series was initially supposed to be produced by the production studio Filmania. However, due to numerous issues within the studio and a disagreement with the authors DAEMI, the project was canceled. Be On Cloud agency was subsequently created and took over the production of the series, which was able to premiere on April 2, 2022.
I. Pre-Kinnporsche: The story of Mile and Apo
1. Mile: an heir who falls in love with cinema
Mile Phakphum Romsaithong was born in Kalasin, Thailand, on January 5, 1992, into the influential Romsaithong family. The Romsaithong family not only owns hotels but also a shopping center and a hospital in the region. He was never really interested in acting. He stated in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar Singapore, “I have always loved the world of business and management.” It was only after his role in the series KinnPorsche that he learned to love this profession. He later revealed in the interview that he dreams of playing the role of the infamous drug lord Pablo Escobar. He also wishes to work with the Hollywood actor Tom Hanks in the future.
2. Apo: in search of freedom
Apo Nattawin Wattanagitiphat was born in the Hua Hin region of Thailand, in the province of Prachuap Khiri Khan, on February 24, 1994. Apo initially worked as a model before making his acting debut in 2015 after signing with Thai TV Network Channel 3. He starred in the successful Thai television series Sud Kaen Saen Rak and continued to appear in several other projects until 2018. As his career progressed, when his contract with Channel 3 ended, Apo decided to take a break. “There are certain rules you have to follow off-screen,” he said in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, “It’s just not who I am, and I didn’t want someone else to control my life.” So, in 2019, at the age of 25, he decided to go to the United States in search of new job opportunities and personal development. He worked there as a waiter and bartender, which served him well in his role in KinnPorsche. After 6 months, he had to return to Thailand due to the global spread of the Covid-19 crisis. During this period, his manager suggested he audition for the series KinnPorsche, which he did with flying colors.
3. The first meeting: Destiny or mere coincidence
On August 10, 2013, Mile and Apo participated in a fashion show as rookie models. That day marked their first encounter. Mile stated that the first time he saw Apo, he immediately thought of the Taiwanese character Judge Bao. On the other hand, Apo explained that when he met Mile, he was surprised by his muscular build; he looked, according to him, like a big brown bear. Later, they declared in the media Straits Times that they would meet again at the Thammasat University gymnasium. On October 10, 2019, Mile and Apo met again for the casting of KinnPorshe produced by Filmania. Apo was chosen to play Porsche and Mile, Kinn, marking the beginning of a long and beautiful journey filled with success and influential projects for one of the most well-known pairings in the Thai BL industry.
II. The acquisition of KinnPorsche by BOC
“KinnPorsche The Series” was canceled due to problems between the authors of the novel Daemi, who announced their departure from Filmania in July 2021, and the production company Filmania. Seeing the great potential of the project, Mile decided to take matters into his own hands to the delight of fans. He contacted his friend and director Pond Krisda Witthayakhajorndet, who agreed to produce KinnPorsche under the new agency Be On Cloud.
“He knew the story from the beginning so I contacted him. Then, it turned out to be a good thing that we expected. That’s how we continued the journey until today.” Mile’s interview for Rolling Stone India.
After a small change in the cast and a shortening of the series, KinnPorsche was released on April 2, 2022, and was a huge success. The pairing reached the heights of popularity and ranked among the most famous pairings.

III. The triumphant return of MileApo: BOCXMOC
At the end of 2022, the project Man Suang, which had been briefly introduced during the KinnPorshe concerts, was proposed for the 2023 Lineup of BOC. Man Suang tells the story of Khem and Wan, two young men from Chachoengsao, on a mission to retrieve confidential documents. To do this, they must uncover the hidden truth behind the Man Suang private club, the most luxurious and mysterious entertainment venue in Siam. It’s a club where the elite gather to plan and conduct political negotiations, to form alliances and betrayals. To infiltrate the club, Khem and Wan join a theater troupe where they meet Chatra, a Taphon musician. This quest for truth amidst murder and rebellion may provoke a major change in the kingdom and the lives of these three men.
On July 9, 2023, the Thai government announced its support for the Man Suang project to promote Thai soft power worldwide. The film will be released in Thai cinemas on August 24, 2023, and internationally on Netflix on February 29, 2024. On August 28, 2023, the series topped the list of the most profitable films nationally with 24.2 million baht in ticket sales.
On January 31, 2024, the collaboration between the government and BOC was solidified when the Minister of Commerce Phumtham Wechayachai and BOC joined forces to launch a major new project in 2024 with the Shine series, a spin-off of Man Suang. It will promote Thai soft power, tourism, and culture with BL. They will attend the MOC press conference on that day to promote Thai products in national and international markets at the Ministry of Commerce.
Mile and Apo have become the faces of the long struggle for LGBTQ+ community rights in Thailand and have had a huge impact on parliamentary deliberations for marriage equality. March 27, 2024, was a great day for the LGBTQ+ community in Thailand as Thai deputies voted in favor of legalizing same-sex marriage, a major step towards its adoption.

Great article. A couple small corrections on dates. The audition for KinnPorsche was Oct.10th, 2020. Not 2019.
It’s later been found out that Mile and Apo crossed paths at fashion shows earlier before Aug.10th 2013. Still in 2013, but a few months earlier, in early 2013.
