This week, we got the best surprise. “Jack and Joker special episode” aired, and I must say that it was an excellent movie-length episode filled with action and angst. Word to the wise, watch beyond the end credits. You won’t regret it.

Must watch

1) Joke: I won’t let you make that decision. I love you.

2) Jack: I will be with you for the rest of our lives.

3) Me: Sobbing in a corner.

4) The script writers were very brave for this series and took the viewers on an epic journey, but it’s not for the faint of heart.

5)Be prepared to laugh, but also be prepared to sob. It takes a lot of courage to make it through the second half of the special episode.

Watch it with a nice glass of wine, or maybe a shot of tequila, or maybe several… Anyway, it’s worth binging. You can find the special episode as a separate movie. It’s not attached to the series.

Also, “My Golden Blood” dropped its trailer this week. I am so excited. I hope the vampires and BL are a winning combination. My fingers are crossed.

The Boy Next World Episode 8 (Thai BL on IQIYI)

Thoughts –

1) Okay, so they’re talking about the idea that time isn’t linear but branching. Does that mean Cir’s every action causes another timeline to pop up?

2) Great acting job by Boss and Noeul! 👏👏

3) This series is so ambiguous that I can’t even guess what’s going to happen next. I’m not sure if that’s a good thing, or a bad thing.

Perfect 10 Liners Episode 18 (Thai BL on YouTube)

Thoughts –

1) I’m so glad Junior and Mark are trending so high! 🥳

2) When Wine confessed that he liked men, Faifa said all the right things. He treated him with respect and love, which is exactly what Wine needed.

3) I want to give Wine a hug, too?

Best Friend Episode 4 Finale (Myanmar BL on MCA Entertainment YouTube channel)

Final Thoughts –

1) For a very short mini series, it had a solidly constructed plot line that was easy to follow.

2) It ended up being more bromance than romance, but it had a romantic undertone.

3) I liked the music. The whole series is probably 30-40 minutes long, so it wouldn’t take too much time to watch.

4) Check it out if you have nothing better to do.

Monday, February 24th

Ossan’s Love Thailand Episode 8 (Thai BL on GMMTV YouTube channel)

Thoughts –

1) I wonder how Heng will feel about Mo’s ex showing up.

2) I love how Heng maintained his boundaries even when Boss was possessed.

3) I really can’t believe how long Mo let his ex stay. 🤦‍♀️ He must have been really sick.

4) Heng and Mo kiss like they’ve never done it before. 🤣 Also, them kissing is a cute way to stop a conversation.

Final thoughts –

1) Each episode is about 8 minutes, and there are only 10, so it’s a short movie and it’s easy to watch.

2) Watch on a lazy evening when you have nothing else to do.

3) I liked the grandmother character. She had a strong, clear character arc.

Impression of Youth Episode 8 (Taiwanese BL on IQIYI)

Thoughts –

1) Andrew Chien’s acting is excellent. He’s able to pull off this young man who has severe abandonment issues that make us all uncomfortable.

2) Lu Xi and Bingchen finally got together. I love how forward Bingchen was, too. 🤩🥳🫠

3) I rate this: 🌶🌶🌶🌶

Secret Relationships Episode 1 (Korean BL on IQIYI)

First thoughts –

1) The opening sequence immediately captivated me.

2) He said that he wants to be selfish and have all three men. I’m curious to see how it all comes together. 👀

1) Dang, this is toxic af.

2) Was Suhyeon dating both Daon and Jaemin at the same time? 👀

3) I’m calling Seonghyeon the only green flag character right now.

4) They had great chemistry in the umbrella scene.

1) The ending felt rushed.

2) It’s hard to believe that after four years of no contact, two people wouldn’t be able to move on…. Maybe I’m not romantic enough. 🤔

Seven BLs are airing on Friday! Well, technically, one of them is a Queer reality series, but still, it’s getting intense, people. Luckily, I’m only keeping up with 6 of them. 🤣🤣🤯 I am skipping The Last Time.

Thoughts –

1) Finally! A proper confession.

2) Yay! More soccer. 🤩

3) The ending was too cute.

4) I accept it. This is becoming kind of fun.

Exclusive Love Episode 4 (Taiwanese BL on Gagaoolala, IQIYI, and Viki)

Thoughts –

1) The sick elder brother/parental figure was a twist I didn’t see coming, but I disagree with how they handled it. Wang Zhan should be informed.

2) Du Zhi’s backstory is incredibly sad. 😢

3) This plot is very slow.

ThamePo Heart that Skips a Beat Episode 12 (Thai BL on YouTube)

Thoughts –

1) I knew Thame’s dream changed, but it still hurt to hear the letter read out loud.

2) Mick was a complete surprise. His nonchalant attitude seemed so genuine. Who’d have thought?

3) MARS Po! Let’s go.

4) Let Thame be ok. 🙏

Eternal Butler Episode 11 (Taiwanese BL on IQIYI)

Thoughts –

1) This series is turning out to be super enjoyable.

2) I like how Bu Shi is teaching Heng Si how to connect his “mind” with his “heart.”

3) It was kind of cool to learn that Heng Si can control his heartbeat.

PorschArm the Wedding Episode 2 (Thai LGBT reality series on IQIYI)

Thoughts –

1) Clearly, Porsch and Arm needed to spend more money on the photographer. I think they should just reshoot it completely.

2) I’m not sure what took them so long to create the guest list. I’ve never been married, still it was obvious that it should’ve come first.

Fight for Love Episode 4 (Vietnam BL on RL studio YouTube channel)

Thoughts –

1) OMG, this show is such a soap opera. 🤣

2) Binh getting bullied in his frog costume hurt my heart.

3) I feel like I’m beginning to understand the title of the series. The two main leads will have to “fight for love.”

Saturday, March 1

Both Flirt Milk and Sashes and Hearts air on Saturday. I’m not following either.

Gelboys Episode 4 (Thai BL on IQIYI)

Thoughts-

1) Fou4mod is so awful to Baabin. I think he knew what he was doing, too, leading him on that way.

2) Bua has the clearest boundaries. I wonder if he’ll start to like Baabin, that would be an interesting development.

3) I love the cinematography. Every frame is such a beautiful shot full of depth and interesting angles.

This next week is shaping up to be a lot of fun. Tomorrow, we have the series premiere titled “Last Meal Universe”. I love Patrick Rangsimant. He was the author of both “My Ride” and “7 Days Before Valentine”. Both were excellent. Also, the premise of an alien coming to Earth to destroy it is highly entertaining.

Also, next week we have the finale of ThamePo. 😭
