This last week saw the end of four series, and another is ending tomorrow. The good news is that Fridays are now down to four series since three of them finished this week. That’ll make life less stressful, at least for me.
“ThamePo” ended on Friday, but I have to put it at the top as another series recommendation. I know, I know. I’ve done a few series recommendations recently, but this one was excellent, and the ending was satisfying. It’s totally worth checking out, especially if you’re in the mood for slow-burn with a touch of idol culture, found family, and friendship all sprinkled with an excellent soundtrack.
ThamePo Heart that Skips a Beat Episode 13 (Thai BL on YouTube in the US)
FINALE
Final Thoughts –
💫Must Watch💫
1) The cinematography, coloring, and editing were beautiful.
2) William’s and Est’s chemistry exploded off the screen.
3) Great soundtrack. There are 3 songs on my 2025 favs playlist.
4) The acting is natural and absorbing.
Episode thoughts:
1) I think MARS being kicked out of Oner was the best solution. Also, it’s awesome that they got to keep their name.
2) Thame’s confession was beautiful.
3) Let’s be poor together.
4) Who needs movies anyway? 🔥😏👀
5) Fabulous job!
Watch it any time. It has cute moments, heartfelt moments, sad moments, and everything in between. It can be watched with a nice glass of wine or your favorite cuddly blanket, depending on your mood. What are you waiting for? No, seriously. Don’t read this article right now. Go check it out. You can always come back. 🥰
Someone told me they like it when I list the ones I’m not watching as well, so I will attempt to do that. Let me know in the comments if I miss any. Also, all of the places to watch are based on living in the US. They may be available on different platforms where you are. If they are, feel free to list the titles and places to watch in the comments, too. Anyway, onward to this week’s episodes.

The Boy Next World Episode 9
Thoughts –
1) Why is dark Cirrus stuck in the waiting room? Maybe he and Phu had a tragic end in his world, and he’s wearing black because he’s mourning.
2) I wish our Phu learned about Cir’s stalker tendencies in a different way. 😢
3) All the clocks are frozen at different times. Does that mean they stop when Cir and Phu don’t get a happy ending?
Perfect 10 Liners Episode 19 (Thai BL on YouTube)
Note: I have a lot to say about this series, mainly because I have kind of fallen for Junior Panachai and like helping with the trend. Also, the show is exciting and fun, and this episode was ridiculously cute.
Favorite cute moments –
1) When Wine calls Faifa and he says he’s in his condo, but instead, he’s waiting downstairs to make sure Wine is safe.
2) When Faifa prays for love and Wine falls at his feet.
3) Their friends teasing Faifa and Wine after they ran in the rain.
4) Faifa turning up the heat and putting a note on the thermostat saying it was broken.
5) The steps-toward-flirting journal with their names in a heart
6) Wine teaching Faifa about treating someone special differently.
7) Faifa getting drunk.
Thoughts –
1) I’m glad the confusion only lasted one episode.
2) There are so many cute moments this episode!
3) Faifa understands what special means. Let’s see if he can apply it.
4) Their kissing is so realistic. It gets better each time.
Last Meal Universe Episode 1 (Thai BL on ONE D Entertainment)
PREMIERE
First thoughts –
1) An alien sets out to destroy Earth. His payment? 100,000 food capsules. He takes one bite of food on Earth, and a dilemma is born. 😂🤣
2) I enjoy watching actors take on challenging roles. Ritz does a great job with hilarious results.
Watch on One D for free. It’s both an app and a website. Link to Episode
I enjoy a bit of silly fluff now and then. I will watch episode 2.
Monday, March 3
Show I’m not watching –
There is a new reel series called Summer Indigo on the Shortime app. I don’t typically watch or enjoy reel series.
Ossan’s Love Thailand Episode 9 (Thai BL on YouTube)
Thoughts –
1) I’m thinking it’s not such a good thing to get into the habit of kissing your bf when you don’t want to answer.
2) I am reminded that Earth and Mix are both excellent kissers. 😘
3) Boss Kongdech and Ten are the ghost ship I didn’t even know I needed. They are unexpectedly funny together. The robbery at the convenience store was hilarious.
4) There’s something about Heng’s serious mode.
5) It’s time to gear up! The next episode looks wild.
Tuesday, March 4
No BL’s are currently airing on Tuesdays.
Wednesday, March 5
Secret Relationships Episode 3 (Korean BL on IQIYI)
Thoughts –
1) Who calls someone over 50 times in an evening? The man is crazy. 😳🤯
2) Let mission “treat Daon better” commence. I’m officially rooting for Seong Hyeon.
3) The person/people who created these characters went all in, which I appreciate.
Impression of Youth Episode 9 (Taiwanese BL on IQIYI)
FINALE
Final thoughts –
1) The title is perfect for the show, which is a series of impressions.
2) Lu Xi and Bing Chen have a lovely final moment. 🥰
3) For me, I preferred the adult story and just wish it could’ve been developed further.
4) Nice soundtrack.
5) This wasn’t my favorite series ever, I would place it somewhere in the middle of the pack for the year. It probably won’t make my top 31. Watch it if you need something to keep you busy.

Shows I’m not watching –
Checkered Shirt – You can find it on Sukfilm YouTube channel. I just couldn’t get into it.
With Me – Also available on YouTube. I know nothing about this one.
Secret Relationships Episode 4 (Korean BL on iQIYI)
Thoughts –
1) Jaemin’s the scariest because he disguises himself as nice.
2) Sunghyeon was brave. I feel sad for him, though the kiss was 🔥.
3) At least Soohyun has no disguises.
4) I’m sticking with the theory that Daon must smell really good.
Friday, March 7
This is the last Friday with so many series crowding in. Other than ThamePo, which I’ve already shared at the top of the article, two other series ended.
Shows I’m not Watching –
The Last Time – You can find it on Tencent App or WeTV browser. I just couldn’t get into the plot. Also, the series is very different from the pilot.
Justice in the Dark- I don’t watch Chinese Bromance’s often, and this one didn’t get released with English subtitles. Patience to everyone who is watching. I cross my fingers that some fan decides to sub it for you.
Fight for Love Episode 5 (Vietnamese BL on YouTube)
Thoughts –
🤬👿😤😾🗯💢🔥💥💣🧨❗️
1) The curse words I shouted at my screen were epic. Van is a little 🤬.
2) I can’t believe Bhin let Van into his space and left. Who does that? He stopped trusting him, right??
3) Dumb move, Thang. How did you think kissing her was a good idea?
Eternal Butler Episode 12 (Taiwanese BL on Gagaoolala and IQIYI)
FINALE
Final thoughts –
1) I don’t know how it happened, but I found myself praising a sexy robot every week.
2) The storyline is cohesive. There’s lots of character growth.
3) The ending is satisfying.
4) Grab your favorite pillow and be prepared to giggle. CAUTION: There may be drooling involved.
Sidenote: I like the way the main leads melted into each other.
FC Soldout Episode 8 (Korean BL on iQIYI)
FINALE
Final thoughts –
1) The ending was a bit rushed.
2) I enjoyed the chemistry of the leads. Their love story was cute.
3) I kept thinking there would be an underdog plot to go with the love story, but it never evolved. No fun soccer story for me.
Exclusive Love Episode 5 (Taiwanese BL on Gagaoolala, IQIYI, Viki)
Thoughts –
1) Both men in the side couple are really dumb.
2) The secretary’s prank of pretending to throw Wang Zhan’s guitar in the bushes was just cruel.
3) I am considering dropping this one. I will try one more week to see if it picks up for me.
PorschArm the Wedding Episode 3 (Thai LGBT Reality Series on Gagaoolala)
Thoughts –
1) It makes a lot of sense that strong emotions would get dredged up with a major, stressful life event like getting married.
2) I love that Arm went with Porsch to say hi to his dad. It was such a caring, supportive thing to do.
3) We didn’t get a lot of wedding prep this episode, but it still tugged at the heartstrings.

Shows I’m not Watching –
Flirt Milk- Find it on YouTube and IQIYI
Sashes and Hearts – Find it on YouTube
Close to You PREMIERE – Find it on YouTube. I’ve decided to not watch this series. If you’ve seen it and think it’s worth it. Let me know in the comments.
Gelboys Episode 5 (Thai BL on IQIYI)
Thoughts –
1) Blonde Bua’s point of view was the least interesting to me so far.
2) Still, the realism of the characters and the portrayal by the actors blew me away.
3) They feel like real teenagers dealing with the problems that teens face.
4) I’m glad Chian started putting up boundaries. Also, Bua and Chian taking a break makes a lot of sense. Their lines are too blurry.
5) It looks like next week will be messy.
This was a long article this week! If you’ve made it all the way to here, congratulations and thank you for your time. There are some things to look forward to next week. “My Golden Blood” will begin on Wednesday, March 12. That same day, “Lost in the Woods” will also begin. Both look super fun, and I’m excited to see how they start.
Here are a few more reasons to watch (or not watch) ThamePo depending upon the type of BL you enjoy:
It feels fresh. No stumbling into the other one’s arms or going to the beach. Instead they get smooshed together in a supply closet, go grocery shopping, and become acquainted with each other’s walking strides while becoming acquainted with each other.
No sound effects, no yelling, no over-dramatics. The mood and dialogue are understated, which makes the great pop songs pop.
The NC scenes are all appropriate for the characters. No shock value in this series. Thame is kind of backward and unknowingly romantic, until he discovers his libido. Po is patient and apprehensive due to his past, until he rediscovers his libido.
No uke, no seme. These two are as vers as you get. Probably titled ThamePo since it flows off the tongue better than PoThame. (Or maybe because ThamePo sounds like “tempo,” which matches the imagery of two people learning to walk together.)
One of the most universal BLs ever. Simply change the language and you could easily move the series to London and Los Angeles. I love learning about culture through BL, but that’s not everyone’s cup of tea. If the goal was to produce an entertaining and accessible series for a global audience, the social media engagement statistics published by GMMTV show it was overwhelmingly met.

All facts and an excellent addition to the recommendation. I will have to put it on my list of possible shows to recommend when somebody’s asking for their first BL to watch.
