This week, there was a drastic reduction in the number of series that aired. Four series ended last week, but one more started and three others will start next week. I finally feel like there is some breathing room, especially on Fridays. So, I took some time to truly enjoy sharing thoughts and ideas on social media.

Also, I had an idea. I think it would be fun to go live for this column and chat with all of you in real time about the series that aired during the week, so I’m going to give it a shot.

Sunday, March 9

Perfect 10 Liners Episode 20 (Thai BL on YouTube and Tencent app aka WeTV channel)

Thoughts –

1) I’m glad that Wine feels special just from Faifa’s willingness to try to improve his people pleasing tendencies. Faifa seems to want to make Wine feel special.

2) I 🤣🤣 at Faifa’s panic over his phone. Wine was so sweet to say no to everyone for him.

3) It’s funny how the shoelace tying prophecy that Wine made came true.

4) Even on mornings when I’m tired and don’t feel great, watching Faifa and Wine makes it feel like a bright, sunny morning full of specialness and potential.

5) I love watching Faifa’s expressions as Wine does small things to take care of him. The surprise flits across his face each time, which is understandable considering his past. He would never expect someone to meet his needs.

Last Meal Universe Episode 2 (Thai BL on OneD Entertainment in the US)

Thoughts –

1) If you’re a fan of Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, then you’ll find this show absolutely hilarious.

2) I laughed so hard I cried.

3) All I can say is sloths and cockroaches. If you know, you know. 🤣😂🤣😂

4) I’ve watched this episode 3 times now and have laughed each time. It’s so cute and fun. I adore Shun. Each time I watch it, I get something more from it.

The Boy Next World Final Episode (Thai BL on iQIYI)

Thoughts –

1) I will save final thoughts until after the special episode.

2) Cir and Phu’s love story was beautifully wrapped up.

3) I loved the scene when Cir was talking to Phu through the computer screen. I’m glad he didn’t give up.

4) Cir’s brother is really brave.

Monday, March 10

Ossan’s Love Thailand Episode 10 (Thai BL on YouTube)

Thoughts –

1) Heng’s boundary setting problem has finally caused him harm. I saw that it would trigger Mo’s insecurity from a mile away.

2) Mo’s insecurity has finally caused him harm. His self-isolation was painful to watch.

3) Bravo for EarthMix acting! As usual, they delivered top-notch drama and got me in all the feels.

Wednesday, March 12

My Golden Blood Premiere (Thai BL on iQIYI and Gagaoolala)

First thoughts –

1) Finally, we have a classic vampire story!

2) Joss is an enticingly sexy predator. 🔥

3) The storyline is intriguing. I like that they’ve already set up the villain and the origin story.

4) Gawin’s innocence is believable, which is important for this plot.

5) I may or may not have rewatched it the same day for…reasons. This is a no judgment zone.

5) I will be watching this one! 👀 🔥

Secret Relationships Episode 5 (Korean BL on IQIYI) – Look for episode 6 on Thursday

Thoughts –

1) Sunghyun is a ray of sunshine, but I can see disaster coming for him. He cares too much, and Da-on doesn’t care enough.

2) Is Da-on’s issue related to low self-esteem and embarrassment?

3) Soohyun’s always one step behind, but he gets no sympathy from me.

Shows I’m not watching:

Checkered Shirt (SukFilm YouTube Channel) – I started it but I’m not finishing it.

With Me (YouTube) – I haven’t tried this one.

Secret Relationships Episode 6 (Korean BL on iQIYI

Thoughts –

1) This episode should come with a very large warning sticker.

2) I was completely grossed out by the ending, and Jaemin did it with a straight face.

3) It’s interesting how quickly Da-on believed Soohyun about Jaemin. Then, I was surprised when Jaemin readily admitted to his deeds.

Friday, March 14

Shows I’m not watching:

The Last Time (WeTV) – I just couldn’t bring myself to continue this one.

Fight for Love Episode 6 (Vietnamese BL on YouTube)

Thoughts –

1) Van just keeps getting creepier. If someone isn’t needed by him, they’re discarded.

2) Finally, Thang made a convincing enough speech for Binh. The scene he set up was super cute. Who wouldn’t melt?

3) I’m glad they got to retry the singing contest.

Exclusive Love Episode 6 (Taiwanese BL on Gagaoolala, Viki, and IQIYI)

Thoughts

1) I’m glad Wang Zhan got the opportunity to perform, even if it was just for his friends. Still, it was interesting how they all left mid-song except for Du Zhi.

2) Du Zhi should allow Zhan to repay him for setting up the performance. I can see why his hurt makes him so unwilling to open up. It’ll be fun to watch his walls be knocked down.

3) The second lead couple is cute, especially with the promise to be the wedding planner.

PorschArm the Wedding Episode 4 (Thai LGBT Reality Series on Gagaoolala and YouTube)

Thoughts –

1) I don’t think I would be in tears from a surprise, but it was cute watching Arm freak out.

2) The contrast between what the two find enjoyable was so apparent in this episode. Of course, Porsch would be sitting at home reading and Arm would be out enjoying a bachelor party.

3) The glasses shaped like dicks were brilliant. 🤣

Saturday, March 14

Shows I’m not Watching:

Flirt Milk (IQIYI and YouTube) – I just couldn’t get into the plot.

Sashes and Hearts (YouTube) – Pageants aren’t for me.

Close to You (YouTube) – I haven’t tried this one.

Gelboys Episode 6 (Thai BL on iQIYI)

Thoughts –

1) The kiss between Bua and Baabin was so well done. They took the time to build the chemistry and tension in the scene.

2) I think Baabin feels the spark for Bua but is unwilling to lose Fou4mod.

3) That Zoom meeting was epic. I can’t believe at least two people confessed their feelings.

4) I was heartbroken when I realized Bua meant it when he said he peed his pants. 😭

Next week, on Wednesday, the 19th, “Lost in the Woods” begins on Gagaoolala. I’m interested to see what they do with the plot because it looks a little bit like “My Sweetheart Jom” from Idol Factory. It is about a city boy who is banished to the countryside.

“Top Form” will air starting Thursday the 20th. So far, it looks like it’s going to only be on WeTV. I’m curious about this one. The plot seems juicy.

“Sweet Tooth, Good Dentist” begins on Friday the 21st on GMMTV YouTube channel. I’m excited to see Mark Pakin in a lead role. I also think it looks super quirky. I’m interested to see if they can pull it off.
