I don’t remember the last time that both Mondays and Tuesdays have been devoid of BL, but after this week, that is the case. April feels a bit slow in the BL world. Right now, I’m only watching 9 series, but maybe that’s alright. I plan on writing more. I am publishing an interactive BL on Wattpad and Archive of Our Own. New chapters should come out regularly. Also, I have a BL novel in the works.

Thoughts –

1) Chondan, thou dost protest too much, methinks. 🤔🤣

2) It’s hilarious that Chun is getting all his knowledge about humans from cats. 🐈🤣

3) I like that the leads are both grown men in their mid-thirties, and they’re playing grown men.

Thoughts –

1) I didn’t believe Faifa’s mom’s redemption arc. It didn’t feel genuine. I’m not sure Faifa believed either.

2) Wine was brave to go alone to the music festival. I would have been so lonely. I’m not sure I’d even have gone.

3) 🌧☔️🌈🦋🫠

4) Faifa is so clingy that it would take a very patient person to be his boyfriend. It seems Wine is up to the job, considering the number of times he texted while he was out with Tor.

My Golden Blood Episode 4 (Thai BL on iQIYI and Gagaoolala)

Thoughts –

1) This is my weekly reminder that Joss is 🔥.

2) I hope Tonkla isn’t put under Nakan’s spell.

3) I like how the music signals to us what is happening in the story. There were only a couple of moments in this episode with more foreboding music and both had to do with Tonkla and Nakan… 🫣

4) On a scale of 1 to 10 (1 being not at all and 10 being 💯), how shocked do we think Tong was at being kissed?

Lost in the Woods Episode 3 (Thai BL on Gagaoolala)

Thoughts –

1) I got lost in this story. So much so that I don’t have much to say other than bravo. 👏👏

2) Fifa’s characterization is awesome. The setting is beautiful. There’s story depth.

3) I don’t see this series enough on my timeline.

Thoughts –

1) I love this 21-day theory. I wonder if it works in real life. 🤔

2) Akin is such a cute, angry cat. 🐈‍⬛️😾

3) Jin seemed so sad in the moment with the flowers in the car, but it was probably just because he wanted to confess that day and missed his chance.

4) The moment they kissed was as sweet as honey. 😘🔥

5) Did anybody else feel slightly weirded out at the sticky mess the honey would create, or was it just me?

6) I can’t believe the only reason Jin was avoiding Kin was because of a cold. 🤦‍♀️🙄🤣

Business as Usual Episode 1 (Korean BL on Viki in the US)- PREMIERE

First thoughts –

1) It’s screaming classic office romance, with a slice of daily life.

2) The first episode had a cohesive plot, pacing, and ended in a logical place.

3) The actors infused a classic plot with new energy.

4) I will keep watching. 👀🎞

Heesu In Class 2 Episode 3 (Korean BL on Viki in the US)

Thoughts –

1) Hee Su, wake up, Seung Won is right in front of you.

2) I feel like Hee Su needs a serious character growth arc where he learns about himself. Seung Won could help him with it. It would be adorable. 🤞

3) I didn’t see that ending coming.

Sweet Tooth Good Dentist Episode 2

Thoughts –

1) Episode 2 has more depth.

2) Jay put his heart into helping Sant get over his fear, and I thoroughly enjoyed watching his effort. He’s such an unlikely main character. So far, I like his quirkiness 🫠🫶🦋

3) Sant’s story about his childhood dentist experience was so sad 😭. I can’t believe his mother abandoned him in that manner!

4) I wonder what Jay’s dark story is that they hinted at.

5) The ice ring that Jay put on Sant’s finger in the convenience store was cute.

Exclusive Love Episode 9 (Taiwanese BL on IQIYI, Gagaoolala, and Viki)

Thoughts –

1) After thinking long and hard, I won’t be continuing this series.

2) I just can’t get into the storyline. I thought this episode would be better since I saw some spoilers on X. It’s not better. The story is not for me.

Fight for You Episode 3 (Taiwanese BL on Gagaoolala)

1) Oddly enough, I am going to try yet another episode.

2) The first episode was rough, and the second was only marginally better, but the third was intriguing, and the storyline has improved.

3) I like the energy between the two main leads. It’s clear Xiao Bai is an inept investigator, and Da Hei sucks at working for this “all service house.” It’ll be interesting to see how they come together.

Heesu In Class 2 Episode 4 (Korean BL on Viki in the US)

Thoughts –

1) If I hadn’t read the comments, I wouldn’t know Seungwon was Heesu’s main love interest.

2) I’m sad we didn’t see Seungwon and Heesu’s chicken date.

3) I understand Heesu’s gloomy mood; I’d feel the same if someone threatened to expose my crush.

Your Sky of Us Episode 2 (Thai BL on IQIYI)

Thoughts –

1) If you’re seeking sweet content, this show is for you.

As of right now, there are no new series slated to begin next week. That may change as some companies release their info close to the series release date. Always look for the series “Premiere” sticker on my posts.
