There were twenty-four BL series that aired this last week, and consequently, there was no way for me to keep up on all of them. I had to pick and choose, and some of the ones that weren’t as captivating to me got dropped.

That being said, episode one of The Ex-Morning aired on Thursday, May 22. I may have gone a bit crazy and helped with the trend on X, but it’s KristSingto after all. And, in my humble opinion, they are still the kings. I may or may not watch it again tonight after I write this article.

The Ex-Morning Episode 1 (Thai BL on YouTube)

PREMIERE

First Thoughts –

1) I can’t believe I’m getting to write a review about a series that my favorite actors are starring in.

2) It had a really strong start.

3) The leads don’t even have to say a thing, and we know what they’re thinking.

4) I will keep watching. Obviously. 🤣🔥

5) I keep thinking about the scene in the bar where Phi got himself into a tight spot with the lady offering him a job. Tam staked his claim, and Phi was so surprised. He was like WTF.

6) The whole scene with the weather report and Tae being annoyingly awful, and then Phi throwing coffee at him, spoke volumes about both characters. AKA, they’re both awful.

7) In the scene where we witnessed Tam’s and Phi’s moment of realizing their dreams and their kiss, they took plenty of pauses as they gave each other space to react and emote. In other scenes, they almost talk over each other.

8) The acting technique is excellent!! 🔥😊 Also, the chemistry is still on fire!!

Be Mine, Be Yours Episode 2 FINALE (Thai BL on VIPA app)

It now has subtitles, and I do want to watch the second episode. Maybe I will do that this next week.

Season of Love in Shimane Episode 1 (Thai BL on Gagaoolala)

PREMIERE

First thoughts –

1) There was a solid plot.

2) I like that the spicy scenes in episode 1 were a dream.

3) There is some depth to the feelings and thoughts of the main character.

4) I will try another episode.

Boys In Love Episode 5 (Thai BL on IQIYI)

Thoughts –

1) Shane and Kit are young, but I’ll root for them because they treat each other healthily.

2) Why did Kim pull away like that in the library? It was odd.

3) The ending, where Nat arrived at the office early and requested milk, was adorable.

My Stubborn Episode 5 (Thai BL on iQIYI)

Thoughts –

1) I wish Jun had stood his ground longer to make Sorn squirm.

2) The spice was split over two scenes this episode, but Jun and Sorn stole the show.

3) I’m curious: Sorn hinted at something troubling with one girl. I hope she’s not blackmailing him.

I Promise I Will Comeback Episode 1 (Thai BL on Tencent)

PREMIERE

First thoughts –

1) There’s a strong hint at a love triangle.

2) The scenery is beautiful.

3) I’m pretty sure the spicy scene was in Nankrai’s head. I feel like his love is one-sided.

4) The dream sequence was interesting.

5) I’ll try another episode.

1) This series works because I only watch 10 minutes a day.

Thoughts –

1) The ending was seriously disturbing. Did they have to show so much?

2) Willy is a continuous menace.

3) Tony can walk??? 😳

4) Chris’s expressions as they talked about Way were interesting. 👀

Moon and Dust Episode 1 and 2 (Chinese BL on PPeachStory YouTube Channel)

First thoughts –

1) The main character is full of grit and darkness, which makes him interesting.

2) The editing is tight, and the storyline is adequately introduced in 15 minutes.

My Sweetheart Jom Episode 2 (Thai BL on YouTube)

Thoughts –

1) I kept talking to Yo as if he were in the room with me and saying that if he acted like a kid, then he would be treated like a kid. Technically, I had more choice words to say, but they’re not allowed here.

2) Jom is sweet and intelligent. 🥰

Fight For You Episode 10 (Taiwanese BL on IQIYI, Gagaoolala, Viki)

Thoughts –

1) Da Hei is so loving.

2) This episode ended, and I was like, “What? Already?”

3) Xiao Bai is as stubborn as his grandfather. It’s like watching bighorn sheep butt heads. 😂

4) His wounds look painful. 😢

Knock Out Episode 3 (Thai BL on Tencent)

Thoughts –

1) Why would Muay, the debt collector, bite herself in the foot that way and keep Keen from paying back his debt?

2) Let’s pretend we were all surprised that Itt and Mawin are a couple.

3) I like how Keen asked Thun if they needed to be chained together again for him to speak his mind. 🤣

The Sparkle in Your Eye Episode 1 (BL from Singapore in Mandarin on Gagaoolala)

PREMIERE

First thoughts –

1) The premise is fun.

2) It had a slow start, but it established the plot adequately.

3) The seasoned actor seems like the rookie. He’s a jerk.

4) I’ll try one more episode.

The Next Prince Episode 4 (Thai BL on IQIYI)

Thoughts –

1) Charan’s cool facade broke when he found Khanin in the cave.

2) The king’s knowledge is vast, and he definitely has an agenda, but I don’t think he’s the villain.

3) Ramil’s bracelet was designed to break, but I don’t think he’s the villain either.

The Bangkok Boy Episode 5 (Thai BL on Gagaoolala and Tencent)

Thoughts –

1) At first, I was thinking Romeo and Juliet. Now, I’m thinking Robinhood.

2) Sun and Peace realize they’re on opposing teams, and it splashes cold water on their budding relationship.

3) The actress who plays Mei is incredible. I cried for her. 😭

4) This show is gripping. 🔥

A total of ten new series dropped in the last two weeks, and I have watched the first episode of all of them. I’m just not going to continue them all. In the meantime, tomorrow (Sunday, May 25), the JohanNorth special episodes drop on Tencent Fast Track. They will cost extra. Still, it’ll be fun. Also, the reason you haven’t seen my Top Form final review in this week’s article is because Episode 11 drops tomorrow, too.

It may be lucky that this is the only thing on the radar for this week, since it’s almost the end of the school year for me, and I have a lot to wrap up as a teacher.
