Tomorrow marks the first day of Pride Month, and as we head into another June, I realize how fortunate I am to have discovered this genre. It helped me figure out who I am, and I will be forever grateful.

This is a fiery week because I get to put two more highly recommended series on my BL Watchlist: “Top Form” and “My Golden Blood”.

“Top Form” held its final episode fan meeting on Sunday, and concurrently released its final episode on Tencent/WeTV under VIP only on the same day. What an exhilarating ride, everyone. Absolutely, check it out, but be prepared for tears.

1) Must Watch

2) Bring a box of tissues. The waterworks are real.

3) I’m excited that Smart and Boom are an official ship! Auralis is a great name. 🥳🥂

4) The acting, cinematography, and editing were all fabulous.

5) It was a beautiful story with the perfect ending.

PS – Watch the Black Honey Cut in between episodes 4 and 5.

GMMTV’s first-ever Vampire BL came to an end, and I think it’s worth checking out. 🧛‍♂️If you like a new spin on an old tale, with a mixture of classic vampire plus melodrama and romance, then this is the series for you. It leans more towards “human” than “vampire.”

Final Thoughts –

1) I was right about Tong.

2) Thara had a fitting ending.

3) Joss and Gawin invested so much emotion into these final moments. They were 🔥.

4) I’m glad Nakan got what he wished for.

5)Sidenote: I saw a really cool post by Ark Saroj saying that the moment when Tong whispered “I do” to Mark was an improvisation. Now, that was powerful news. Bravo, Gawin!

6) Unique vampire series focusing on vampires’ humanity.

7) Fun storyline!

8) Grab a Bloody Mary, a cozy blanket, and binge this fun series!

Boys in Love Episode 6 (Thai BL on IQIYI)

Thoughts –

1) I was surprised to learn that Mon’s mom was just being protective. I’m glad they talked.

2) Shane has a family. It just doesn’t include his parents.

3) Tar and Per are troublemakers. 🤣🤣

4) Let the Shane and Kit boyfriend era commence!

My Stubborn Episode 6 (Thai BL uncut on IQIYI)

Thoughts –

1) We have 2 new players who’ve come to slay. Also, fun times in the office are an HR nightmare. It’s hilarious that one of the players is the head of HR.

2) Sorn needs to use his words, but I can tell he’s trying to change their dynamic.

3) Jun is clueless about the change because of Sorn’s silence. 🤦‍♀️

JohanNorth Special Episode (Thai BL on Tencent)

Final thoughts –

1) I’m proud of North for being stubborn and angry when Jo didn’t take care of himself.

2) These special episodes had so much domestic sweetness, especially the camping scene.

3) I can’t wait to see what more Maxky and Bas have to offer.

Ai No Kisetsu Seasons of Love in Shimane Episode 2 (Thai BL on Tencent and Gagaoolala)

Thoughts –

1) P is clearly jealous and a bit unsure. I like the dynamic it’s creating.

2) Pan is very good at teasing.

3) The ending scene was something… The level of detail was intense.

4) I’m now invested in their love story. 💯🔥

The Sparkle in Your Eye Episode 2 (Singapore BL in Mandarin on Gagaoolala and YouTube- coming soon to Viki)

Thoughts –

1) Su Yi’s eyes worry me. They’re hinting at something dark coming around the corner.

2) Pei Jia is kind of awful to work with. I’m surprised we don’t have a disillusionment plot.

3) There are 2 episodes per weekend.

Thoughts –

1) I love the way they’re handling the language barrier in this series. It’s so cute and funny.

2) The scene where Victor takes off his sock to help stop TK’s bleeding nose is hilarious.

3) Every BL series needs good shower scenes.

Thoughts –

1) Is kneeling in front of a house for 2 days something people actually do? It’s such a common trope. How could he even walk after doing that?

2) Grandma is a force of nature, and I love her.🔥

3) They’ve kept the makeup for the wounds consistent, and they look real. Great job. 👏

1) It’s really sad what Typhoon is doing to himself just to win.

Thoughts –

1) I think Su Yi is the fan who is incredibly sick. 😭

2) I dislike Pei Jia a lot, but I think he has abandonment issues.

3) It was interesting seeing how much weight the investors have.

The Next Prince Episode 5 (Thai BL on IQIYI)

Thoughts –

1) If you enjoy a toxic side couple, then Ramil and Paytai are for you.

2) All Khanin wants is to have people he can trust and feel comfortable standing beside him.

3) Charan is an excellent fencer. Why? 🔥👀

4) I love all the art.

The Bangkok Boy Episode 6 (Thai BL on Gagaoolala and Tencent/WeTV)

Thoughts –

1) They’re doing great with the psychology of the characters.

2) Sun’s reaction to Peace’s kissing attempt makes total sense. The trauma and the PTSD were excellently portrayed.

3) I hope Mei can heal.

Secret Ghost (Thai BL on VIU Thailand)

This next week is looking to be fun with a big premiere. On Monday, June 2, “Reset” will begin on IQIYI. It promises to have drama and intrigue as well as a time-traveling element. I’m excited to watch and see how the first episode is.

A Korean BL titled “Ball Boy Tactics” begins on Heavenly and Gagaoolala (in some countries) on Thursday, June 5. I don’t see a release platform for the United States, yet. It is a sports-themed BL, but I don’t have many details.
