From the imagination of singer-songwriter and author Kenyth Mogan comes the highly anticipated launch of “My Super Fiancé“, a genre-defying Boys’ Love superhero series that blends high-stakes action with heart-melting romance. The story begins today with the release of Episode 0: Mr. Simple, now available for free on Substack, through his US Publisher Digital Fabulist and the Thai digital platform, Readawrite.
Part Smallville, part Sailor Moon, and unapologetically queer, My Super Fiancé introduces readers to journalist Trevor Prince and his mysterious, brooding partner Cole Carter—who just so happens to be the vigilante superhero known as MoonShadow. Set in the dazzling metropolis of Prism City, where shadow and light are more than just metaphors, the series explores love, identity, and justice in a world threatened by corruption, conspiracy, and otherworldly forces.

“This project is deeply personal,” says Mogan. “It began not long after I read Perry Moore’s Hero, a novel that changed my life and inspired me to imagine a story where a queer superhero could save the world—and get the guy.”
Mr. Simple serves as both a love letter to the genre and a reintroduction to the characters Mogan first dreamed up over a decade ago. As the pandemic reignited his passion for storytelling, Mogan—known for his work in pop music and for his novel “My Dead Boyfriend”—returned to his roots, fusing his love of comic books and queer narratives into a bold new adventure.

To accompany the launch, Mogan has also unveiled an original soundtrack featuring the Spanish-language single 「We Are Magic」—written by Mogan and performed by Argentinian singer Shintaro Luna.
With a blend of emotional resonance, superhero spectacle, and a heartbeat driven by music, My Super Fiancé isn’t just a story—it’s a whole new way to enjoy BL-themed entertainment.
