This is a special week. I am including two extra days of reviews because on Tuesday, July 8, I am flying to New York to spend ten days. While I’m there, I will be attending “The Heart Killers” Fan Meeting and “Timeless Thai Taste” 2025. I will be doing a special article when I come back about those events, since I will not have watched many (if any) BL series while I’m there.

At the end of this article, I will be doing a special update for series that are coming up while I’m gone. Be sure to check that out. Also, I will be hosting the BL Week in Review Live on Tuesday, July 8, at 6 PM PST as usual. We will be talking about the 4 series that ended on Sunday, July 6, and Monday, July 7.

1) This is, surprisingly for me, far more enjoyable than I thought it would be.

2) It still has the same level of off-beat humor that other Oxin series have, but to me, that humor fits well with the fishing boat culture.

3) I think it’s going to be a very messy, soap opera kind of series, considering one of the male leads is married, and the other has a stalker-level obsessed ex-boyfriend.

1) Yes to a Season 2, please!

2) This series deals with everything that the average teenager has to go through. It was so cute and sweet. I loved every moment of it. I just need a separate show with Nat and Tan.

3) Add it to your comfort watch series list and watch it on a weekend when you need a pick-me-up or to smile.

Ai No Kisetsu Seasons of Love in Shimane Episode 8 (Thai BL on Gagaoolala and Tencent/WeTV)

1) 🔞 This is a sweet, explicit series, and they do an entertaining job of combining the two.

2) I enjoyed the storyline concept a lot more this season. Also, it’s so fun to see acting improvements.

3) If you like a good pining trope, then you’ll enjoy this one. Just beware, it is super explicit, which may be uncomfortable for some.

1) I am so sad this series is done. 😭 I went from thinking I’d maybe watch a couple episodes to it being one of my favs each week.

2) A lot was going on, but I particularly enjoyed Sorn’s and Jun’s plot.

1) This is a heartbreakingly beautiful series that explores the choices a person can make and their ensuing consequences. All I can say is it’s a must-watch.

3) Stunning cinematography, editing, coloring, soundtrack, and acting. Bravo. Well done.

Since I am going to miss an entire article, here is a little look ahead.

On Saturday, July 12 “ABO Desire” airs its first three episodes on Tencent/WeTV, Gagaoolala, Viki, IQIYI and Youku. It is streaming everywhere, and looks very dramatic. It’s a Chinese BL, and if you’re wondering what ABO stands for, it’s Alpha, Beta, Omega. That is correct, we have our first omegaverse BL. Now, if you’re still confused, or maybe new to the genre as a whole, omegaverse is an imaginary world where men can get pregnant. There tends to be a very dominant/submissive vibe to these books, though I have seen some done beautifully. Still, this series gives off a more toxic vibe than a sweet one.

On Sunday, July 13, we have “Koi Ruby” starting. Now, this is a Japanese BL, and there hasn’t been any notification of international release at the time I am writing this article. It’ll be interesting to see if Gagaoolala picks it up, as they have the rest.

On Monday, July 14, “Dating Game the Series” begins and is a Japanese/Thai collaboration. I’m excited to see Fluke Natouch on the screen again. I hope it airs on a platform that I can access, though right now, it looks like maybe not.
