School wore me out this week, and consequently, I find myself here on Saturday evening, playing catch up. I looked at my social media and realized I hadn’t posted any reviews most of the week, which is unusual for me. Still, I’m glad I’m able to write this article each week and reflect upon all that happened, since there’s always quite a bit going on.

For example, I found out that Gemini and Fourth have a short reel-micro series that is being posted on GMMTV’s Instagram. It is titled “Bites of Promise” and there are 6 episodes.

Also, there were several fan meetings and concerts this weekend from actors in Thailand. Domundi had their sports day, GMMTV had people in Taipei, Rome, and a huge GeminiFourth concert in Thailand. Overall, fandoms were busy. The result was lots of fun looking at the hashtags on X.

Anyway, all is somewhat quiet in the series world this week with only three premieres. On to the week in review.

1. The difference between Worradej and Prince is so stark, especially with how they each react to Kosol.

2. Nut’s acting is outstanding.

3. Science is cool, especially when it involves fire.

4. Kosol is falling for Prince rather than Worradej. I think he likes the sass.

10 Things I Want To Do Before I Turn 40 Episode 9 (Japanese BL on Gagaoolala)

1. Suzume got sick and wished for someone to be there to help with simple things like the dishes. I get that completely. Sometimes, you look for someone for companionship rather than romance. Sometimes it feels more important.

2. Independence is hard to let go of. I like how Keishi still showed up even without being asked.

3. The cliffhanger this episode was epic!

Memoir of Rati Episode 11 (Thai BL on YouTube)

1. Of course, this story can’t have a happy ending for Thee and Rati. They are two worlds apart. I saw it coming, but it still hurt.

2. I like how Mek and Dech are finding ways to navigate life together. I can only think that perhaps they are younger, which is why Dech’s father wasn’t scheming marriage for him.

3. The last episode preview looks heartbreaking.

The Promise of the Soul Episode 11 (Taiwanese BL on Gagaoolala and IQIYI)

1. Everyone, we officially have a “dreaded episode 11.” The turmoil and cliffhanger were epic. Why did they leave it there?

2. Grandpa Cha is so sweet and confused. I wish the episode didn’t end with things unresolved between him and Haiyuan.

3. This show is way more compelling than I thought it would be when I started.

Revamp the Undead Story Episode 2 (Thai BL on IQIYI)

1. I wonder if the reason Punn is okay with staying is because he is a spy for the hunters and is supposed to infiltrate the vampires.

2. It’s interesting how innocent Ramil appears. For a vampire, he’s rather tame.

3. Ciar gives off the biggest “vampire” vibe. He’s a bit creepy, but also childish.

Shine Episode 5 (Thai BL on WeTV/Tencent)

1. I’m living for Krailert and Naran moments. This episode, they just showed us how the real world is, and I love it.

2. Tanwa has so many issues. His and Trin’s road is bound to be super rocky because Trin is looking to be all in, and Tanwa doesn’t want to share his sadness.

3. Victor is not going to get the man he wants, but I am enjoying his efforts. He’s pretty cute.

Khemjira Episode 4 (Thai BL on IQIYI)

1. I didn’t expect that the only link between ghost Chayod and ghost Ramphueng was their meeting when Khemmika passed away. I thought it was more significant than that.

2. Ramphueng has had 400 years to cultivate her anger. She is a force to be reckoned with.

3. I wonder what Khem’s past-self did to deserve that level of Karma.

For the first time in a while I can say that there are no series currently scheduled to start airing next week. However, that may change as the week progresses. Who knows what we will find.

Still, it’s the season of pilots and announcements, and they are starting to flood in, so be sure to keep an eye on your YouTube feed. Just remember, just because it gets a pilot doesn’t mean it will air.
