“My Bias is Showing” Series Review (Ep.3 to 10)

Life is an interesting mix of feelings and misunderstandings, each of which tend to face off with each other most when we’re in love. That’s exactly what My Bias is Showing captures at its core, a lighthearted, heartfelt story that manages to be both charming and surprisingly relatable.

Based on the web novel by Nabit, the series follows high school teacher Na Ae Joon (played by Kevin) and global pop idol Choi Si Yeol (Kim Kang Min). To Ae Joon, Si Yeol isn’t just a celebrity, he’s an inspiration, someone who gives him strength. He never expects their paths to cross, until Si Yeol’s new show films at Ae Joon’s school. A chance hallway encounter leads to Si Yeol not only noticing him, but inviting him to join the show as his “co-teacher.” Suddenly, Ae Joon has to balance his secret fanboy heart with the professionalism his job demands.

From the start, the drama finds its strength in how real Ae Joon’s admiration feels. His fanboying is sweet, never exaggerated, and it makes Si Yeol’s growing attention toward him all the more touching, even if he’s seeking him out for revenge. Add in former idol Jooha (Byung Hun) and Ae Joon’s cousin and roommate Kyu-sung (Kim Hong Jun), whose own complicated history brings another layer of tension, and you’ve got a story that juggles romance, comedy, and just enough angst to keep things interesting.

My first impression of the series was that it would be light, fun, and sprinkled with just enough drama to make me care and that held true all the way through. My Bias is Showing never lost its endearing charm, even in its most emotional moments. Whether it was the playful misunderstandings between Si Yeol and Ae Joon, or the more bittersweet storyline of Jooha and Kyu-sung, the characters always felt genuine and likable.

The chemistry between the leads deserves special mention. Kim Kang Min and Kevin make every glance, every smile, every hesitation believable, grounding their romance in something tender and sincere. And while I would have loved a bit more backstory about Jooha and Kyu-sung’s falling out, their reunion still felt deeply satisfying. The casual ease between them made their history feel lived-in and real.

At just a few episodes, My Bias is Showing is an easy series to binge, but it lingers because of its heart. The misunderstandings are resolved without unnecessary drag, and the confessions come with a warmth that makes you smile.

All in all, My Bias is Showing is a quick, feel-good watch that delivers on both charm and emotion. It’s the kind of series that makes you giggle and root for love.
