Of the thirty-four currently airing BL dramas, I am only watching thirteen. Even so, it feels like a lot to watch. Perhaps it’s because the buzz on social media keeps increasing. More and more people have something to say about these series, which is amazing but also time-consuming.

Also, ships are getting bolder and crazier. It’s cute to watch all the fun.

Anyway, the long and the short of it is, I may only be watching thirteen series, but it still feels like I need to find a better life-BL drama balance. Hopefully, this can happen in future weeks. I don’t want to have to choose between my favorite shows.

Awaiting Dawn Episode 7 (Vietnamese BL on YouTube)

Next week, seven new series will begin, starting with three on Sunday, October 19. The first is titled “School Trip: Joined a Group I’m Not Close To”. It’s from Japan and will be airing on Gagaoolala. It looks like a fun, school-aged series. The next one isn’t BL, but it is queer and found family, both of which I love. “Chosen Home” is a Japanese drama that will be airing on Netflix. Be sure to check it out. “PlutoCharon” is a Mandarin series produced in Thailand under MFlow Entertainment. It is airing on their YouTube channel. It seems like it will have soap opera vibes and be about messy relationships.

On Monday, October 20, two series will begin. The first is “My Secret of Seer”, a Thai BL that will air on YouTube. It is about a seer, and has a campy, spooky vibe that’s perfect for Halloween. “MuTeLuv Diva Deva Mata” is a Thai Queer drama on YouTube that is bound to be hilariously ridiculous. Be sure to check it out.

On Wednesday, October 22, “Mystique in the Mirror” will begin on IQIYI. It is from Thailand, and from what I understand, it has been in the making for several years now. It looks very dark and involves mental illness and an insane asylum. It will be another great spooky addition to the season.

On Saturday, October 25, “The Two of Them”, a Myanmar mini-series, will begin on YouTube. It promises to be full of emotion.
