Christmas came early for me last week with the reveal of the 2026 and beyond lineup for GMMTV. They gave us thirty queer stories. Twenty-two were BL, eight were GL, and one was a stage musical. Having that many series revealed also came with a certain amount of controversy.

The biggest news is that “Replay”, which was set to star TayNew, JossGawin, and PondPhuwin, has already been canceled due to ongoing issues with the author. I’m glad they exited before it got out of hand, but I wish it had been vetted before they decided to do it. Still, I’m sure they learned a lesson for future work.

One of my most anticipated series is “Write You Again”. I adore KristSingto, and I felt like their concept video was beautiful. It’s going to be an interesting story to see developed, and it feels very unique.

Another anticipated series is “17th Spring”. I’ve seen so many positive comments about their concept trailer. For me, maybe because I’m almost forty, the storyline feels relevant and nostalgic at the same time. I think I’ll probably cry at some point, which is always a good sign.

This week, for BL Week in Review LIVE, we will be getting back to the usual routine. Since I found them both interesting in unique ways, The Wicked Game and Punks Triangle will be the focus.

1. For a second, at the beginning, I thought I was watching a horror movie. 🤣

2. Hioki leaned in and claimed comfort in Watarai’s scent, and I melted.

3. First-time romance is so innocent and sweet.

The mom isn’t coming back

1. I dislike Hotaru’s mom very much. She is ditsy and thoughtless. I don’t think she wants to be tied down by Hotaru.

2. I love the soft development of the relationship between Hatano and Sakuta.

3. Hotaru’s dad finding the bunny was so funny.

Heated Tension

1. Those visions are really getting to J. I can’t even imagine watching a loved one pass on in a variety of ways. 😭

2. Jinn could have put a pillow under J’s head at any time during the night, but he didn’t.

1. I’m glad Shirasaki apologized for going too far. He’s so insecure, and he took it out on Hayama.

2. Hayama had every right not to want to play his father.

Final Thoughts

1. The main track is beautiful and drew me in each episode.

2. The premise is unique.

3. The storyline mixes adventure with fantasy and romance.

Final Thoughts

1. This series gets a standing ovation from me. It was so well done.

2. The acting is incredible.

On Wednesday, December 3, “Let Me Into Your Heart” premieres on YouTube. This series involves the world of Likay, which I don’t know much about. I hope I have the opportunity to watch it.

On Friday, December 5, “Melody of Secrets” will premiere on YouTube. It is categorized as a thriller, and I’m curious to see what GMMTV does with it. I’ve seen some incredibly creepy stories come from this production house. I’m sure it’ll be great.

On Saturday, December 6, “Sereno” begins on Oxin Film’s YouTube channel, and it looks pretty good. Oxin is known for crude humor and sexuality, and this trailer has some of that, but it’s different. This one looks interesting. It’s worth checking out.
