Creating a top favorites list has always been hard for me. How I feel about a drama depends mainly on my mood when watching. So, I generally hesitate to number my lists. Therefore, to put together my top ten favorite Korean BLs from 2020-2022, I revisited my Twitter posts, taking note of the ones that left me reeling enough to spill my feelings into the Twitterverse. Considering the amount of BLs South Korea released over the last few years, narrowing them down was no easy task, but certainly a lot of fun to revisit.
Adapted from the manga “Kabe Sa Doujin Sakka no Neko Yashiki-kun wa Shouninyokkyuu wo Kojiraseteiru” by Minamoto Kazuki, the Japanese BL Kabe-Koji-Nekoyashiki-Kun Desires to be Recognized is a comic portrayal of two childhood classmates, Nekoyashiki Mamoru (Matsuoka Koudaiwith) and Kazama Issei (Nakao Masaki) who have unspoken feelings for each other.
Adapted from the web novel of the same name by Tang Jia San Shao, The Land of Miracles (Shen Lan Qi Yu Wushuang Zhu) donghua is a beautifully animated project that opens with two young boys, Lan Ge and Fan Hua.

The present may not be able to change the past, but it can bring perspective and understanding to the future. Sometimes the greatest way to express love is to share the pain. The Korean BL Once Again was short but profoundly pulled together.
The Thai drama 180 Degree Longitude Passes Through Us has ended, and it has taken my heart with it. When a series strikes a chord within me, I am very vocal about it, writing multiple pieces hoping others will take the time to discover the magic. 180 Degree Longitude is one of those series, but for the final review, I will simply focus on the people in it, the connection between them, and why these connections touched me.

From beginning to end, I fell in love with the Thai drama 180 Degree Longitude Passes Through Us and everything it represents, especially the focus on politics and the lines dividing generations. The acting, symbolism, and artistic nuances are nothing short of brilliant.
