“Home Par” A Love Letter to Gay Friendships & Chosen Families

Fresh from the success of producing Singapore’s first gay BL (Boys’ Love) web series ‘Getaway’, Singaporean media platform.

Dear Straight People have announced their next major production.

On 15 December 2022, Dear Straight People will premier a gay short film called ‘HOME PAR’ on Dear Straight People’s YouTube channel. In addition, a special Director’s Cut of HOME PAR containing deleted scenes will be published exclusively on Dear Straight People’s Patreon page.

Sponsored by FabulousMe, ‘HOME PAR’ is written and directed by gay creator Sean Foo, who is best known for writing and starring in ‘Getaway’, whose 5 episodes have garnered over 1.6 million views and counting.

ABOUT HOME PAR

PLOT: Brown, plus-sized and genderfluid, Fab (Aiman Haikal) crashes a private invite-only party populated by muscular gay men. Drama and hilarity ensues when Fab’s flamboyant ways rubs the ‘straight-ating’ gay men the wrong way.

THEME: Based on a fish-out-of-water premise, ‘Home Par’ is a dramedy that provides biting social commentary on gay party culture (toxic masculinity, body image etc) with the aim of promoting inclusiveness within the gay community.

‘Home Par’ explores the different ways that gay men deal with discrimination, and is ultimately a love letter to gay friendships and chosen families.
