‘Rule No.1: Don’t Be Too Emotional’

The Thai BL industry is recently flooded with adaptations and joining this bandwagon is author Hwang Seol’s ‘Rule No.1: Don’t Be Too Emotional’.

Hwang Seol has been sharing posts on her Facebook and Twitter accounts, revealing details related to the upcoming adaptation. The author was quoted saying that minor adjustments will be made to match the acting and visuals of the series. The casting for the show has begun and Hwang Seol seems to be actively involved in the process.

Addressing the trigger warnings in the book, the author stated that:

Synopsis-

If someone says he can do anything, you request. No matter how difficult the request is, he can help you get what you want as easily as magic. The only caveat is that once assistance has been received, you must repay him accordingly. If that person appeared in front of him. What will you ask from him?

Almost after nine months of waiting, Oxin Films have announced the premiere date of their upcoming BL drama- Tie the Not. Starring Daryll Rodriguez (CHEAT The Series) and Orly Mejia in the main roles of Shao & Briggs, the show is based on a true story. The miniseries has 8 episodes and the pilot will be released on May 27, on Oxin Films Youtube Channel.

Synopsis-

Briggs is a simple guy who never got a chance to fall in love because of his responsibilities in their bridal car business, then love finally struck when he met Shao. The problem is Shao is set to be wed with Louise because of an arranged marriage. Tie The Not is a story of sexual awakening and acceptance. It will teach you that true love is how we define it. That it is never too late to fall in love, and that true love is worth fighting for.

Forever Yours The Series

PEPPS TV have released the new promotional poster for their third BL series, “Forever Yours The Series”. Starring PEPPS TV favorite Inaki Torres alongside Eurwin Canzana and Ely Cellan in the lead roles, the show will be soon streaming on their YouTube Channel. Originally, Inaki had been paired opposite his “Worth the Wait” co-star Solo Adriano and this was supposed to be their second BL together. But for reasons unknown, Solo has been replaced with Eurwin Canzana (Your Home & Rainbow Prince). The drama is supposedly a love triangle between the three actors and from the posters, it obviously has a school setting. Details pertaining to the storyline are unannounced!

Our Skyy 2

GMMTV’S upcoming sequel “Our Skyy 2” is an eight-part anthology series that continues the stories of Tian and Phupha (A Tale of Thousand Stars), Pran and Pat (Bad Buddy), Khabkluen and Daonuea (Star and Sky: Star in My Mind), Nuengdiao and Palm (Never Let me Go), Cher and Gun (A Boss and a Babe), Talay and Puen (Vice Versa), Akk and Ayan (The Eclipse), and Tinn and Gun (My School President). The show will be helmed by the most popular directors of the GMMTV cadre- Aof Noppharnach, Au Kornprom, Golf Tanwarin, New Siwaj, Jojo Tichakorn and X Nuttapong.

The social media handles have been actively promoting the anthology, giving glimpses of the possible storylines in the upcoming season.

The filming schedule for “OurSkyyxTheEclipse” is over. Directed by Golf Tawarin, the show is a romance thriller focusing on the main leads, Akk (First Kanaphan) & Ayan’s (Khaotung Thanawat) struggles as they face a supernatural curse plaguing their all boys’ school, Suppalo. Neo Trai, and Louis Thanawin will be returning to reprise their roles of Khan & Thua. FirstKhao became extremely popular with their powerful portrayal of Akk & Ayan; as such, the upcoming sequel is highly anticipated. Similarly, Neo-Louis’s Khan & Thua are equally popular and avid fans are eager to watch them together again!

☆ OurSkyyx1000Stars

Earth Pirapat & Mix Sahaphap will be returning to Pha Pun Dao Village, to reprise their classic roles, Phupha & Tian. One of the most popular GMMTV drama, A Tale of Thousand Stars ended on a positive note with Tian & Phupha’s sweet reconciliation. The sequel will most probably be focused on their relationship as they return to the village setting after Tian’s return from his stay abroad.

☆ OurSkyyxViceVersa

Jimmy Jitaraphol and Sea Tawinan have started filming for “OurSkyyxViceVersa”. The multiverse romance will continue in this rustic sequel, with co-stars Aou Thanaboon and Neo Trai joining the cast.

The recently concluded mafia romance was well received. The natural chemistry between main leads, Pond Naravit-Phuwin Tangsakyuen, was much appreciated and as such, this sequel is definitely one of the most anticipated ones in this anthology.

Star in my Mind couple Joong Archen and Dunk Natachai have started shooting for “OurSkyyxStarInMyMind”. The adorable couple are quite active on their social media handles and their sweet chemistry has turned them into fan favorites!

The current on-air office romance “A Boss and a Babe” is garnering a lot of positive response because of the seamlessly flawless chemistry between main leads, Book Kasidet and Force Jiratchapong. The Enchanté couple look even better in their second project together and as such, avid fans are excited about the sequel as well. Co-stars Mike Chinnarat, Fluke Pusit, Ohm Thipakorn and Leo Saussay will be reprising their roles as well.

One of the most popular school romances in the history of Thai BL industry, My School President, is definitely one of the most successful adaptations by GMMTV in recent times. Starring Gemini Norawit & Fourth Nattawat in the lead roles of Tinn & Gun, the show follows School President, Tinn’s faithful journey as he pursues music club leader, Gun. The romance between secondary couples, Win (Winny Thanawin), Sound (Satang Kittiphop) as well as Thiw (Mark Pakin) and Por (Ford Arun), was admirable as well. Gun’s Chinzilla gang will be returning to reprise their roles.

☆ OurSkyyxBadBuddy

GMMTV’s sleeper hit “Bad Buddy The Series” was a phenomenal success with unprecedented ratings. Starring Nanon Korapat as Pran and Ohm Pawat as Pat, the show focuses on the subtle romance between two frenemies who fall in love, despite their familial enmity. Ohm & Nanon have finished shooting for the sequel and from the pictures posted by the official Twitter account, it seems the storyline will stem past to their college days. Milk Pansa and Love Pattranite will also be returning to reprise their roles of Ink and Pa.

Build Jakapan’s New Project Announcement

After his career plummeted because of the controversial charges levied by KinnPorsche author Poi Patchayamon, Build Jakapan’s life changed drastically. He was suspended from all Be On Cloud activities, future projects, and attacked maliciously by fans on social media. The silver lining being that he still had fans who supported him wholeheartedly during this phase. Build has filed a criminal lawsuit refuting Ms. Patchayamon’s claims and the court hearing is set for May. Meanwhile, Build Jakapan is back online (he deleted his social media handles after the scandal broke out). In a heartfelt message posted on his Instagram, he thanked his fans for their love and support, following it up with the announcement that he is planning to work on a new project. The details are still under wrap.

Pit Babe The Series

Adapted from the web novel “Pit Babe” (พิษเบ๊บ) by _alittlebitch (also known as alittlebixth), this drama has been making waves because of its multi star casting. CHANGE2561’s first foray into the BL industry is certainly turning heads and fans are anticipating a raunchy, hot affair. The show stars Pon Thanapon (Gen Y and Make A Wish), Benz Natthapong (Theory of Love, En of Love), Pooh Krittin, Michael Kiettisak (CIWYW, Till the World Ends), Sailub Hemmawich, Pavel Naret (2moons2, Coffee Melody), Nut Supanut (Oxygen The Series, Something in my Room), Pop Pataraphol (La Cuisine) and Garfield Pantach in main roles.

Synopsis-

Because he wants to be a racer that everyone accepts as “someone with a purpose”, Charlie, the youngest (hot) nerd, gathers his courage and goes to the number one racer; the person he has always seen as an idol in his heart, to borrow a racing car and help bring it to the team.

“Can I borrow your car?”

“Why do I let you borrow my car?”

“Because I want to be a King like you.”

That answer made Babe, a famous young race car driver, unable to continue. He said he wanted to be like him, but did not have a racing car of his own. How can you be a racer like this? In the end, to have fun, Babe decides to help each other, so a “hot deal” happens between.

Two Worlds

Kongthup Production unveiled the official poster for their upcoming drama, “Two Worlds”. Adapted from the web novel “2 Worlds” (2 Worlds: โลกสองใบ ใจดวงเดียว) by Prang (พราง), the show stars Max Kornthas and Nat Natasit (Why R U The Series, Y Destiny, Close Friend, Cutie Pie The Series, Y Destiny and the upcoming Naughty Babe Series) in the lead roles of Tai and Kram. Gun Thanawat (Unforgotten Night) will be starring alongside the popular couple as Phupha.

Synopsis-

Phupha and Khram love each other but later Phupha is murdered. However, something happens and Khram is pulled to a parallel world where, 12 years ago, Khram and Thai were in love. However, Khram was killed by Thai’s dad. One day, Thai drives by a road and finds someone in the middle of the road. The face of that person stuns Thai because he looks exactly the same as his lover from 12 years so. What will happen next?

Dinosaur Love

Ultimate Troop (The Yearbook and Remember Me) released the official poster and first look teaser for their upcoming Thai BL, Dinosaur Love. Adapted from the novel “Dinosaur Love (ไดโนซอร์รัก)” by Scriper, the show stars Pepper Pongpat (Remember Me and Love in the Air) and Kong Montree (Remember Me, Why You…Why Me?) in the lead roles of Dino and Rak. Rounding up the cast are Peak Natchanon and Petch Chanapoom (Oxygen the Series), who will be playing the support roles of Mek and Korn. Popular comic actor Tonnam Piamchon will make his debut as a director with this show. “Dinosaur Love” is set to premiere on June 25th, 2023.

Synopsis-

Bunny-cute university student Rak’s partner cheats on him with Rak’s own best friend. This new period of hurt gives bad boy hazer Dino the opportunity to hit on Rak straightforwardly. Guy Suwanroj and Lita P’s popular novel “Deep Night” is being adapted into a television series. Recently, auditions were held and quite a few notable actors were seen attending it. Golf Tanwarin (The Eclipse, 609 Bedtime Story) was on the panel of judges. The show will be distributed by Channel MCOTHD30.

My Croissant The Series

Though restrictive, Cambodian BLs are slowly progressing. And joining the foray is the upcoming show, My Croissant The Series. The show stars Chris Pitt and Chhunly Mock in the lead roles. The pilot will supposedly air this April. The production house has been actively promoting the show and here are some new pictures relative to the project.
