Adapted from the manga of the same name, Me no Doku Sugiru No Futari or Two Office Workers Who Are Too Poisonous For One’s Eyes is a series with each episode having only 5 minutes runtime. It focuses on the thoughts, fantasies and shipping life of a Fujoshi. Oto Todoroki (Usuda Asami), our protagonist is hardworking and reserved, though very adorable if you get to know her better.
She and her colleague Shizuku Yamawaki (Imou Haruka) secretly ship two of their colleagues, Hongo Jo (Abe Shinnosuke) and Daichi Ogawa (Sota Ryosuke). Hongo Jo is a mature person whereas Daichi is young and lovable coworker; both Daichi and Chief Hongo have a close relationship. They are playful, supporting and very comfortable around each other. Their chemistry with each other, their closeness and the way they are so agreeable with skin ship or showing affection with each other is very alluring. The way Oto-san acts when Chief Hongo and Daichi show even a little of affection, how her thoughts run, and the turned-on erotic expressions she makes are hilarious.

This series very accurately grasps the events reverberating through a fujoshi’s mind while seeing people or couple they ship together. This show is so endearing and humorous that I smiled and laughed throughout the series. It’s so amazing how something so appealing can be presented in such a minimum time, like every episode was only 5 min but it was so funny that I wished for more. The way Oto- san and Shizuku-san communicate with each other through telepathy, the way they can understand each other just by a look, was so funny. The way they let their fantasies run wild to extreme levels after listening or seeing something and then ramble to each other using their mind link is just so cute.
All the actors did a good job, there was no awkward acting or dialogue delivery. Everything was smooth, every actor- from the main leads to side characters, everyone added flavor to the comic theme of the show. The side characters were very entertaining and it was so amusing seeing them, especially Kazami-san (Ikeda Ryo), the chief head of their department. The show doesn’t let things like low budget ruin the script because with a good story line and good acting skills, you can ignore it. The show doesn’t focus on any heavy subjects, it’s just light-hearted comedy that keeps the viewers happy and smiling.

The show’s ending was predictable because from the pilot episode itself, explanations were always provided based on the incidents that occur between the shipped couple. So, I will not say that I was very surprised or disappointed by the ending, as I already anticipated it. I wish they do a second season because I will surely watch it, and it will do more justice to the show.
