Netflix is on a roll, dropping not one but two exciting announcements!

Marking a spring premiere, Netflix released a teaser video alongside the announcement that “Young Royals S3” will be releasing in March 2024. The highly anticipated sequel will see the conclusion of the impossible romance between Prince Wilhelm and Simon. Penned by Lisa Ambjörn and starring heartthrobs, Edvin Ryding and Omar Rudberg in the lead roles, the Swedish teenage love story is a global hit and has been amassing fans since its premiere in 2021. The first season was more focused on introducing the characters and reveling in their blossoming romance; the ending though was conspicuous. The sequel bought our handsome pair together, though the entirety of the show was centered on rekindling their relationship. Fans have eagerly awaiting news about the premiere date since it was announced in June that the show has wrapped up filming. No official date has been announced yet.

The streaming portal also announced that it is a wrap for the upcoming season of teenage romance, “Heartstopper”. Based on the series of the same name by author Alice Oseman – “Heartstopper” narrates the love story between high-school boys, Charlie (Joe Locke) & Nick (Kit Connor) as they struggle with their new feelings for each other, before quickly settling into an unlikely yet beautiful romance. The coming-of-age series recently won the “Best Live Action Series” and “Best Inclusivity” second year in row at the “Kidscreen Awards”. The show also stars Yasmin Finney, William Gao, Tobie Donovan, Corinna Brown, Kizzy Edgell, Sebastian Croft in supporting roles. Author Alice Oseman also took to Instagram to share some candid stills from the shooting spot.

The third season will most probably premiere mid season in 2024.
