Japanese BL: “Although I Love You, and You?” Teaser Photos and Additional Cast Revealed

Japanese BL adaptations are the current favor of the season and the upcoming drama “Although I Love You, and You?” has joined the news breaking trend!

Just few weeks after the project announcement, Yomiuri TV has dropped the official poster alongside the teaser photos/BTS videos displaying the sweet chemistry between main couple. Adapted from the manga “Sukiyanen Kedo Do Yaro ka” (好きやねんけどどうやろか) by Chiba Ryoko (千葉リョウコ), the show stars Kan Hideyoshi and Nishiyama Jun in the lead roles, Matsumoto Sakae & Soga Hisashi. Alongside it was also announced that So Okuno, Sae Murase, and Kazuki Horie have been cast in supporting roles. Their caricatures are said to be original characters from the manga, and their varied depictions will intertwine with that of the main characters to add more colors to the story line.

Synopsis-

Eie Matsumoto (Hideyoshi Kan) owns and works at Tamae, a small restaurant located in the back alleys of downtown Osaka that serves cheap and delicious home-cooked meals . Eie, who speaks the Kansai dialect well, is friendly to everyone, young and old, men and women alike. His cozy shop is always busy. One day, Hisashi Soga (Jun Nishiyama ), a divorced office worker who has been transferred from Tokyo to Osaka, visits Tamae with his boss. Eie can’t take her eyes off Soga’s every move, he is so moved by his actions that he falls in love with him at first sight.

Additional Cast Members

☆ So Okuno will be playing the role of Mizuki Nakatsu, Eie Matsumoto’s ex-boyfriend of the main character who broke up with him three years ago.

☆ Sae Murase will be portraying Kazudai Kanda, Hisashi Soga’s office colleague, who was born and raised in Osaka. She is known for his outspoken character.

☆ Actor Kazuki Horike will be playing the role of Kaname Tatsuta, Eie’s childhood friend. He is said to have a good understanding of Eie.

No further details revealed. The show is set to premiere on 11th January 2024.
