Probably the most anticipated fantasy Korean BL of the year, we finally have some news about “Love for Love’s Sake”.
Adapted from the webtoon “Love Supremacy Zone” (연애 지상주의 구역) written by Aquram and Hwacha (화차), and illustrated by Kkokku (꼬꾸), the show stars Lee Tae Vin and Cha Joo Wan in the lead roles, Tae Myung Ha & Cha Yeo Woon. The adaptation is an eight-episodic series, with each episode having a 40-minutes runtime. The project is helmed by director Kim Gyun-ah and stars as Oh Min Su and Cha Woong Ki in prominent roles as well. Scheduled to be released in January 2024.
Synopsis-
Tae Myung-ha is suddenly dropped into “Love for Love’s Sake” a game that was made based on the novel written by a senior at his school. Although the setting is strangely similar to reality, Myung-ha, a 29-year-old, has inexplicably become a 19-year-old student. Tae Myung-ha is given a mission- he has to make a character in the novel, Cha Yeo-woon happy, within 300 days, otherwise he will receive a death penalty. Cha Yeo-woon is Tae Myung-ha’s favorite and has left a deep impression on him. But it was the worst of the worst times in his life when Tae Myung-ha was 19 years old. How is he supposed to make Cha Yeo-woon happy when he himself wasn’t happy?
Will he be able to survive, protect his favorite and complete the mission?
