Twilight Out of Focus

First teaser released for the upcoming Japanese BL adaptation “Twilight Out of Focus”. Adapted from Jyanome’s BL manga of the same name, it focuses on second-year students Mao Tsuchiya & Hisashi Ohtomo, who navigate a delicate balance of secrecy in their dorm life.

Synopsis-

Film enthusiast Mao Tsuchiya and his lone wolf roommate Hisashi Otomo make three promises:

1. That Mao will never tell anyone that Hisashi is gay and has a boyfriend,

2. That Hisashi will never approach Mao “in that way,” and

3. That they’ll respect each other’s “private time.”

The second-years’ ground rules should ensure a peaceful life together in their dorm, but reality is never as simple as it seems in the movies, and some things are not so easily promised…

“Yuri!!! on the Ice:Ice Adolescence” Canceled

Fans who have been eagerly waiting for the prequel movie of the hit sports anime ‘Yuri!!! on Ice’ (2016) were left devastated by the shocking announcement that the production of the film ‘Yuri!!! on Ice the Movie: Ice Adolescence’ has been officially canceled. The film’s production committee and the anime studio MAPPA explained that the staff decided on this cancelation after internal discussions due to “various circumstances.”

The Time Of Fever

“The Time Of Fever”, movie spin-off of the 2023 hit “Unintenional Love Story” premieres May 15 on CGV. Won Tae Min and Do Woo will be reprising their roles. The movie follows the romance between Donghee and Hotae during their high school-days.

Synopsis-

Ho Tae and Dong Hee have grown up like brothers since childhood. A few years ago, Ho Tae, who had moved to Seoul, returned to Gangneung after his father’s funeral. Meanwhile, Dong Hee, who had come out and was kicked out of his home, began living alone in Ho Tae’s empty house. Reuniting after a long time, the two start living together under one roof. Despite their close brotherly bond, Dong Hee can’t help but feel excited seeing Ho Tae, his first love, again. Dong Hee tries to suppress his feelings, but it’s not easy. Meeting Dong Hee after a long time, Ho Tae also starts experiencing emotions he has never felt before. In an effort to escape his confusing feelings, Ho Tae starts dating girls recklessly. Witnessing Ho Tae like this hurts Dong Hee, and after an unexpected incident, the delicate relationship between the two starts to gradually shift.

“Close” is a 2022 coming-of-age drama film directed by Lukas Dhont, and written by Dhont and Angelo Tijssens. The film stars Eden Dambrine, Gustav de Waele, Émilie Dequenne and Léa Drucker. “Close” premiered at the Cannes Film Festival on 26 May 2022 to critical acclaim and won the Grand Prix; specialized critics praised the performances. Premieres on Netflix on 19th May.

Synopsis-

The intense friendship between two thirteen-year old boys Leo and Remi suddenly gets disrupted. Struggling to understand what has happened, Léo approaches Sophie, Rémi’s mother. “Close” is a film about friendship and responsibility.

Impression of Youth

Following the blessing ceremony, filming has officially began for the upcoming Taiwanese BL “Impression Of Youth” Starring Jian Zhenting, Xu Moujun, Wen Weideng, and Zhu Yumou in lead roles, the show is an original script which depicts the relationship between a student and a teacher.

Skam Korea Canceled

The production of “SKAM Korea”, which had raised fans’ expectations due to the news of a remake in Korea, was ultimately canceled. Their upcoming release “Fragile” bears no connection to the remake & is an original works that reflect the characteristics of Korean teenagers. The characters in ‘Fragile’ have different identities and concerns, and the story of teenagers coping with taboos and errors through challenges and failures, love and heartbreak, study and deviation will be told honestly.

My Marvelous Dream is You

With the countdown set for its premiere on 8th May, 2024; Idol Factory’s upcoming Thai GL “My Marvelous Dream is You” has released a scintillating trailer portraying the chemistry between the main leads, Fay Kanyaphat & May Yada. Both leads were recently paired in the fantasy BL “The Sign” and they had a commendable chemistry.

Pluto Series

Costume fitting has begun for GMMTV’s upcoming Thai GL “Pluto Series”. Adapted from the novel “Pluto: นิทาน ดวงดาว ความรัก” by Chao Planoy, the show stars Namtan Tipnaree & Film Rachanun in lead roles. Kapook Ploynira & Ciize Rutricha play the supporting couple.

A Man Who Defies The World of BL 3

A teaser video was released showcasing highlights of the upcoming Japanese sequel, “The Man Who Defies The World Of BL 3”. Starring Inukai Atsuhiro in the lead role alongside Yutaro, Ito Asahi, Shiono Akihisa, each reprising their roles from earlier seasons, the show has 6 episodes and premiered on April 23rd, 2024. International platform still unannounced.

The Upside Down Life Young Master And Bodyguard

The story focuses on Jian An,a sickly but genius and eccentric young master who unexpectedly meets Yan Lu, a former bodyguard. The show has 9 episodes and premieres on 3rd May, 2024.

The Last Case

Costume fitting has started for the upcoming Thai GL “The Last Case TH”. The show is a mystery thriller, depicting a romance between a doctor & a lawyer. Prang Panisara and Gene Ornalin lead the casting alongside secondary couples, Esther Oruche-Atom Aphichaya & Merview Saranbhorn- Pang Isaree.

Your Dear Daddy The Series

Fresh stills released for “Your Dear Daddy The Series”. Adapted from the novel “Until You #RiakDadSiThan” (Until You #เรียกแด๊ดสิธาร) by CEO, the show stars Poonpun Jitaboon & Fluke Pusit in lead roles as Saithan & Sila.

Perfect10 Liners

Just a day after the press release, Force Jiratchapong & Book Kasidet are already in workshop training for their upcoming adaptation “Perfect10 Liners”. The show will have 30 episodes, with 10 episodes allotted to each couple and cross cameos. It seems like we will be starting off with “Arm & Ark’s” love story first.
