MewTul Are Engaged to be Married!

If you are an avid fan like me, who has been forecasting MewTul’s relationship status for years, then the news of their engagement will delight your senses. It’s not just the possibility of your favorite stars tying the knot; it is the possibility of queer love FINALLY receiving acceptance!

With Taiwan, Nepal and Thailand being few of the countries in the Asian subcontinent who have legalized same-sex marriages; and with the Asian subcontinent being big and having cultural diversities that unfortunately don’t strike a chord with the queer sentiments, MewTul’s engagement is a ray of hope for many who have being wishing for the same destiny!

Mew Suppasit, with his multi talented persona is an actor par excellence, a musician and also a strikingly handsome model. He is not just brawns but also brains, having majored in Industrial Engineering at Kasetsart University. Later, he continued to pursue his master’s degree in industrial engineering at Chulalongkorn University and is currently studying for his Ph.D.

Mew’s ticket to stardom was his portrayal of Pree in the 2018 hit “What The Duck: The Series”. His hot chemistry with co-star Art Pakpoom was much appreciated and they quickly became fan favorites. After reprising their roles in “What the Duck Season 2: Final Call”, unfortunately the pairing fell apart. Despite that, Mew rose to fame again after starring in the 2019 adaptation “TharnType The Series” where he was paired opposite rookie actor Gulf Kanawut. The pair created history and the show’s ratings catapulted them into instant success. After almost four years, Mew recently starred in the Korean-Thai collaboration “Love Is Like a Cat”.

Apart from his acting chops, Mew is also known for his singing talents. In August 2020, Mew released his first single “Season Of You” and a year later made history as the first Thai artist to make it onto Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales chart with five songs from his album making it to the top ten. Mew has also worked with EXO member Suho on “Turn Off The Alarm”, in 2023, which turned them into close friends.

As for his better half, Tul Pakorn has graduated from Chulalongkorn University’s Faculty of Architecture, earning second class honours. He graduated with a Masters of Science in Real Estate Development at Columbia Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation in July 2023. He first rose to fame while playing the main lead, Knock in the 2016 romance “Bad Romance” where he was paired opposite Max Nattapol. They became heartthrobs after starring in the 2017 sequel “Together with Me” and the 2018 follow up “Together with Me: The Next Chapter”. MaxTul became a celebrated onscreen pairing and were so popular that they were roped to play the main leads in the medical thriller “Manner of Death”.

Afterwards, Tul took a hiatus from acting to pursue his studies abroad and that was when love bloomed between him and his now fiance, Mew. Despite have a super busy schedule, Mew traveled to the US several times, which sparked rumors about their relationship. While they weren’t forthright about their relationship, both didn’t actively hiding it either. The rumors became more persistent after Mew & Tul were featured in the January issue of Harper’s Bazaar Singapore.

After months of speculation, Mew & Tul finally opened up about their relationship on the YouTube Channel “My Ambulove”. Tul expressed his apprehension about going public with their relationship, but the passing of the marriage equality bill probably gave them the courage to do so!

Being in the limelight, Mew finally proposed marriage to Tul at the gala event for the promotion of his latest single “Absence”

Mew surprised Tul by inviting him onstage before kneeling down and proposing marriage. As Mew proposed, Tul hurriedly ran and got a ring as well, both of them ended on their knees before they exchanged rings!

It took a lot of planning on Mew’s side to make this proposal possible. He shared-

“Like I said, the purpose of this song is for the person who has come to fulfill my empty heart. Before I started making the song, I had a talk with the songwriter. And my brief was ‘I want a song that I will use for my marriage proposal.”

As such, Tul was covertly included in the MV without him knowing the purpose of the song. MewLions (Mew’s fans group) and the team support at the event were also included in planning the surprise.

Tul later shared that he had the ring ready and wanted to propose at the same time. We have some candid photos and videos from the event!
