This is one of those shows that surprises you in a good way!

After watching the 5 minutes long trailer that was released last month, I wasn’t exactly enthusiastic about watching this show. I’m not a huge fan of shows produced by Mandee Works Official so far and them pitching an entirely new pairing didn’t liken me to this premise. So, I was rather pleasantly surprised when I watched the pilot episode. Adapted from the novel “Your Sky” (Your sky #กี่หมื่นฟ้า) by 25.15.66, the show stars Kong Kongpob & Thomas Teetut as the main leads. An ordinary love story with an enchanting couple, “Your Sky Series” doesn’t offer anything unique in terms of storytelling. It is the same old, cliche college romance, where the campus hottie falls for a bewildering yet sweet first year. The first two episodes set the stage for the budding romance between the main characters. There is something endearing about Kong that sets the tone of this storyline. He leads the storyline with his naive attitude and innocent mindset, which is at contrast to Thomas’s reserved, stoic demeanor. A match made in heaven!

Due to an unforeseen situation, a naive freshman and the campus’s popular senior agree to pretend to be a couple—but their fake deal begins to affect their real feelings.

What Makes This Couple Click

We have a sinister Oh (Mike Chinnarat) wrecking havoc in their college. As the President’s son, Oh is insufferably arrogant and has been courting Teerak (Kong Kongpob) since ages. The biggest catch is the “Teerak Protection Squad” consisting of Teerak’s friends, Lee, Type, Joy and Teerak’s elder sister, Babe who are firmly against Oh. They spend most of their time protecting Teerak from him. On his first day, Teerak unexpectedly meets Mueanfah (Thomas Teetut), Lee’s elder brother. He is the campus hottie, utterly rich and also highly reserved. Their meeting leads to a turn of events where Muenfah begins to notice Teerak’s sweet charms. When an unassuming Teerak attends Oh’s birthday party, he is drugged. As Oh forcibly tries to kiss him, Mueanfah arrives and saves him, announcing to all that they are dating. Oh isn’t someone who could be deterred so easily, so Mueanfah and Teerak decide to continue with the charade. Thus, our handsome couple enter into a fake relationship whereby they will slowly fall in love in the future. Kong Kongpob & Thomas Teetut have an affable chemistry; despite this being their first lead role, both Kong & Thomas are extremely comfortable with each other which reflects in their onscreen romance.

Is it a Worthwhile Watch

Kong as Teerak is simply endearing, I’m watching this show for him!

This doesn’t mean I don’t like Thomas, he has his own charm; but Kong is definitely the highlight. Teerak is simply so sweet, adorable, naive and innocent, that you would want to protect him. Their romance drives the narrative forward and both friends groups are an added advantage. Some love stories are just meant to be!
