Simple, Slow, but Engaging!!
Summary: Easter intentionally attends a university in the north of Thailand. He hopes to find a new place to erase the memories of his ex-relationship, which ended unclearly. But who thinks he will meet with Hill, his ex-relationship, again at this university? And it is the beginning of a relationship that will not end in the same way ever. At the same time, his roommate, North, also faces chaos because he was drunk and caused a quarrel, then woke up with the debt. But it could be more chaotic because the god just sent him a flirtatious and very spoiled creditor, Johan. So, the stories of these roommates began among the laughter of friends from Art clubs like Typhoon and Dao-Tok. Also, with the senior medical students Tonfah and Arthit. Their friendship in this university and their love stories will be memorable notes for a long time.
“Fourever You” is a simple rom-com series that tells the story of four couples, their college life, troubles, and their love connection. Though the start of the series was well-developed and captivating, its hold over the story diminished after the 7th episode, becoming too repetitive and monotonous. Pond Ponlawit and Earth Katsamonnat did very well in making the character winsome but due to unnecessary dragging, it became quite irritating and confusing at the end. The story tends to feel a bit tedious, with one couple entangled in numerous misunderstandings from their past, which was tiring to watch. It’s all very predictable and lacks freshness, making it hard to stay invested. The dependency on these familiar clichés adds to the overall sense of monotony, leaving viewers wanting more originality. Now, to watch cliché factors like having an ex-girlfriend or knowing each other’s feelings but ignoring them while not exactly being avoidant was very frustrating to watch. About Johan (Maxky Ratchata) & North (Bas Hatsanat), their love story was sweet, and funny, taking its time to grow and evolve. Above all, it was real, grounded in genuine moments that made them laugh, cry, and appreciate each other deeply. In its simplicity, it held a beauty that was uniquely theirs.

The series captivated me with its nice pace and engaging storyline up until Episode 7. After that, however, it felt as though the momentum and the charm of the story faded, leaving the narrative dragging along slowly and repetitively. The once-sweet and simple rom-com plot with stupid twists began to feel awkward and forced, erasing the excitement that had initially drawn me in. The problems, the incidents that would have been resolved in just 2 episodes stretched up to a million episodes, making the audiences feel bored, leaving us with the question of either dropping it or skimming through it to or watching it to very the end. I loved Hill’s Grandma, she was very supportive, understanding and it felt she liked warm hugs. Bas as North was so appealling, to watch him bring such a sweet and goofy character was amazing; he stole the whole series, and his chemistry with Maxky was so captivating. They had everything going on for them in the series, from an amazing story to backstory which was clearer than that of Hill and Ter. Their kissing moments also felt more real than Pond and Earth. However, we only get to watch the story of two main couples and on one side, there was very little interaction between others; despite that I will check out Season Two because I am invested in seeing how their relationship will turn out. If we talk about the whole doctor group, they have amazing chemistry as friends, all four were how real friendship feels like. They were tight, supportive; just like true friends wouldn’t stop teasing and kicking each other’s asses.

The direction and screenwriting could have been way better including editing because at some point the editing and lack of pacing ruined the onscreen moments, in short this is a one time watch show!
