Damien Bodie (Neighbours, Scary Endings) and Robyn Loau (Idiot Box) join the cast of animated short film “The Last Anomaly”, which also includes Adam J Yeend (Scary Endings: The Water Rises).
“The Last Anomaly” tells the story of Daniel (Yeend) who is stuck in limbo after the world ends. He’s not good enough for heaven, nor is he bad enough for hell. When he meets with the Entity (Loau), Daniel must become involved in a battle of wits in order to be reunited with his lover, Joshua (Bodie).
The script was penned by Hamish Downie (“Lost Hope”, fan film “Silent Hill: Stolen Heart”), with Adrian Austin (former recipient of the FTO Young Filmmaker Fund), and Ross Ozarka (NZ-based animator behind “Oops, I Murdered the Person the Person I Like Likes”). Downie is helming the short with Ozarka doing the animation in the same style as “Oops…” – using cardboard cutouts. NZ Horror Author Lee Pletzers and Sestasial Bec are on board as producers. And composer and Novocastrian trans Trance artist/hitmaker, Thea Riley (Billboard #6 dance hit “The Shoulder of Our Town”, horror short “Pieces of 8”) is on board to do the music.
Yeend and Loau both had cameos in Downie’s recent indie feature film, “Matcha & Vanilla” for the Gagaoolala streaming platform. Bodie and Yeend have both worked on the “Scary Endings” web series, plus, Loau and Bodie have both been on “Neighbours”. But, this is the first time all three have appeared in a project together. This is also the Aussie helmer’s first Australasian project, as all his other projects, including the music video “Never Let You Down” were made in Japan or the US.
“The Last Anomaly” is out now on Fearless, TLAvideo, GayBingeTV.
