I have watched a lot of BL series, having liked and loved a fair share of them, but there are some series that can be considered as unique masterpieces. Shows that will make you fall in love with the characters, actors whose chemistry exceeds them, and stories that will keep you addicted till the end and afterwards. Here are the top five BL Series in my opinion that everyone should watch: (NOT IN ANY PARTICULAR ORDER)

1) Be My Favorite

Starring Krist Perawat and Gawin Caskey in key roles, this is a very beautiful coming of age BL series. The series is cute, funny, and magical. The series involves time travel, is well-scripted, and authentic. Piseang’s realization of his sexual orientation and his coming out is portrayed very maturely.

2) Manner of Death

Starring one of the most famous BL couple, Max Nattapol & Tul Pakorn, “Manner of Death” is a unique series based on the novel of the same name by Sammon. This series is mysterious, engaging, intense, and full of suspense, I think that new viewers who want to explore more genres of LGBTQ series should keep this one quite high on their list.

3) I Told The Sunset About You

This is a very underrated series that lots of viewers are unaware of. All I can say is that the storyline is heartfelt, it portrays the budding romance between teenagers. I guess this show is not for everyone but you should atleast watch it once before forming an opinion.

4) Until We Meet Again

This show has my heart, it is one of the most heart-wrenching and beautiful series I have ever watched. The angst, the storytelling, and the soul-touching performance by the actors make this one of the best series ever produced by the Thai-BL industry.

5) He’s Coming to Me

This is another underrated gem of the Thai BL industry. “He’s Coming to Me”, a supernatural BL starring Singto Prachaya and Ohm Pawat, is a very amazing and appealing series. This is a love story between a soul/ghost looking to be free or reincarnate and a human boy, who helps the soul, in investigating his death and keeps him company. I love this series a lot and really hope this gains more attention from viewers.

SPECIAL MENTION:

a) SOTUS: I can’t forget this series because this is an OG series, and I am pretty sure 99.9% of viewers have watched it. But I do think, this deserves special mention because it is one of my all-time favorites.

b) 2moons/2moons2: I love both parts equally and am a big fan of this series. This one is also my personal all-time favorite.

c) Together with Me: I am pretty sure BL watchers like me, from the 2017-2018 era are already familiar with this series. This is always in the top 10 of my favorite series, no matter how many new ones I watch.
