This series starts very simply with Nu (Tora Toranin), who is considered a nerd because he wears glasses and gets in a minor accident after being hit by a car. The car belongs to our main lead, Sun (New Chunnawan) who is studying medicine in the same university as Nu. Moving on, Nu makes new friends in university who are connected to Sun’s friend or ex-friend Chain (Jame Supawit), which results in them crossing paths a lot and then results in them having drunken sex. From the first two episodes, it feels like Sun and his friends group as well as Chain are having some issues or there is some betrayal involved or maybe it’s a simple misunderstanding. Let’s see what the upcoming episode results in. Though the story of our main two leads isn’t very gripping or exciting, it is engaging!

After watching the episodes, I can clearly say that it’s time for Thai BL creators to move on from the same recycled stories where there is one very hot guy who everyone admires. When he walks its admirable, his hair is wavy and then there is the bookish guy, who is nerdy because he wears glasses and when he takes off his glasses and does his hair, he is suddenly a hottie. I mean can we start differentiating between being nerdy and good-looking guys. I have seen guys and girls being so hot, and they wear glasses. So, I think we need to work on this stereotype.

I started with this series with the expectation that the storyline would improve as it unfolds, but instead, it ended up romanticizing themes that are quite inappropriate. The plot was filled with constant misunderstandings and miscommunications, which felt overdone and clichéd, making it very difficult to stay engaged. Each episode was filled with awkward moments, poorly written and cheesy dialogues that remained throughout the show.

I had hoped for an improvement in the story as the series progresses, but it keeps romanticizing inappropriate things, that should not be justified. The awkwardness and poor writing persisted until the end. Even though this show is a mini-series, it could have the potential to be better if the writing was better, but it left me feeling unsatisfied. I felt that the other two couples have more decent storylines than the main one, especially the girls.

In terms of acting, I think there is a lot of awkwardness in Tora Toranin’s acting as Nu, though New’s acting as Sun is more natural; then there is the issue of not having consistency in the episodes and story flow, making it feel like there is a little pause after dialogues or scenes making it very confusing and frustrating to watch; since, the series struggles with a lack of consistency, both in the narration and from episode to episode. These interruptions disrupt the story’s overall flow and confuse viewers; once you get detached from watching a series, there is very little chance you’ll pick that series to watch again, which is the problem here.
