“The Ex-Morning” is a 2025 Thai BL drama that marks a highly anticipated reunion of Krist Perawat and Singto Prachaya, our beloved characters from SOTUS. I was excited about watching this show since the first teaser was released, because Krist and Singto have that undeniable chemistry and natural aura that make them look so good together.
Pathaphi “Phi” (Krist Perawat) is a well-known weather anchor called the “Forecast Prince.” However, he faces public disgrace after a live broadcast where he throws coffee at a colleague. His reputation suffers, and he gets suspended from his show. To save his career, Phi must work with a new producer—his ex-boyfriend, Tamtawan “Tam” (Singto Prachaya). Tam is calm and professional, having studied media abroad. Their reunion is awkward and filled with unresolved feelings and memories. As Phi and Tam work together on a new show, they are forced to confront their past. They remember the time they won a journalism contest together, which brings both joy and pain. However, Phi is now a famous weather anchor with a condo overlooking his billboard.

The story begins with a bang, featuring a flashback of Phi and Tam’s college life, their journalism journey, and how they came to be a couple. Fast-forward to the present, where Phi is a successful broadcaster who has lots of fans, but a scandal erupts when, during a live broadcast, Phi accidentally pours coffee on a colleague, Tae, unaware the cameras are still rolling. Due to this, he starts getting lots of hate and shame from viewers and the public, and Tae, his archenemy, gets his show and slot. Having every sponsor and brand deal contract cancelled due to the scandal, Phi is allowed to work with a new producer, his ex, Tam. Phi refuses at first, but later agrees to work with Tam with certain conditions. Phi pretends like he doesn’t care about Tam, but it’s hilarious when he goes to the laptop shop to get his laptop fixed, where Tam finds that Phi is still using his phone number as a password even after their breakup. Phi is being sued by brand sponsors for millions of dollars due to damage to his image. To cover legal fees, Phi sells his car but refuses to sell his condo. In middle of this, a female YouTuber presents Phi, with an opportunity to work with her and invites him to talk in seclusion but then starts getting too cozy for Phi’s liking making him feel uncomfortable but Tam saves and defends him and after which Phi agrees to work with Tam.
Ever since the first teaser was unveiled, I’ve been eagerly counting down the days for this BL series. The undeniable chemistry between Krist and Singto radiates off the screen, drawing us in with their captivating presence. Their natural aura and charm create a dynamic that makes them not only a stunning pair but also a joy to watch together.

I know that it’s natural for a person to compare any actor’s work with their most famous series or movies, and since “The Ex-Morning” reunites Krist and Singto, I have seen so many comments comparing both Sotus and this series, which is not good because both series have different vibes and stories. Overall, I am enjoying this series and very much looking forward to seeing what happens. It will be interesting to watch how they will wrap everything up in 10 episodes only.

4/5 rounded up to 4.5/5 for the fantastic final episode and because Singto is so hot. If there was any doubt actors in their 30s could star in a BL, he has proven it’s true.
