Light-hearted Show about a Chaotic Vampire family and a Human!!!
Lee Ju Wan (Yu Sin), Cha Eun Ho (Lee Ju Young), Kang Seon Jae (Lee Tae Hyung), and Jung Gyu Min (Lee Dong Yeol) are four college housemates who are searching for a fifth individual to fill a vacant room in their dorm. But their main concern isn’t about paying rent; they’re ravenous vampires, dying to sink their teeth into a fresh, live human! So they can’t believe their luck when Han Dong Ha (Park Dong Ju), who grew up isolated from society, eagerly moves in with no idea of what awaits him. To the vampires’ dismay, however, Dong Ha doesn’t weigh enough for them to suck his blood! As they shower their unsuspecting new housemate with food and attention to fatten him up, have they gotten too attached to their would-be prey? And is there more to sweet, naive Dong Ha than meets the hungry vampires’ eyes?

“My Secret Vampire” is a very sweet and unexpectedly cute show that involves vampires and humans, as well as the events that occur around the funny situations where they all cohabitate together. The story is about four vampires who are so funny and chaotic, it’s so fun to see them together with their roommate, Dong-Ha. I wished it had more a full-fledged storyline or atleast something extra, but it just involves a simple situation where all of their lives are intertwined, since it’s a mini-series with only 10-15 mins per episode, with 8-episodes per series. So, I knew that it would not have any intense vampire-human interactions but still I really enjoyed it, especially how the four vampires behave towards Dong-Ha and towards each other. The chemistry was adorable and not half-assed, like when in the BL series, actors turn rigid while performing intimate scenes.

I feel that due to low production level, the series was made for limited episodes, but the actors really tried to explore all the ways they could to make viewers enjoy the series as much as they can. They were flirty, sweet, unserious, and endearing, my type of perfect mixture when I wish to watch a mini-series that I can binge in like an hour. With an equally adorable ending, the shows end with a sweet note as well, not leaving us dissatisfied.
