The GLs are doing it amazing this year!
If you felt sad with the ending of Khemjira and want to see more shaman top x possessed bottom, FEAR NOT!
Runaway is here!
The first of its kind in the GL industry the story revolves around Winrawi (Music Praewa) who can see ghosts and nightmares and this has greatly affected her getting a job. One day she comes across a stoic looking woman as she runs away from a ghost. She sees her doing some rituals and runs away from the scene. But as her nightmares get worse she is forced to see a shaman. Coincidentally the daughter of the shaman, Boon (Plaifah Siraacha) happens to be the same woman she saw before and according to the shaman only she can help Winrawi. But she doesn’t want to help. Winrawi is frustrated and on top of that the psychological abuse from her mother doesn’t make her situation any better. Frustrated, she tries to end herself, but the ghost doesn’t let her do that either.

So will Winrawi ever be free from the clutches of ghosts?
Overall Review
The acting is good. The story is good. The ghosts are good. And after seeing a few too many characters seeing ghosts I can say I’m kinda an expert in noticing how actors make a character look like they are afraid of their nightmares and ghost seeing??
The thing I absolutely loved is at the first hint of too many delusions from Winrawi her whole family sleeps together. The amount of times I have screamed at a white family on the tv screen because they decided to sleep in different rooms even after experiencing hauntings in their house (sighhh). Thailand being a Southeast Asian country I’m not surprised the characters would know how to handle hauntings. I mean who hasn’t seen a ghost in this part of the world. Right? Right?
The family also seems less casual about the fact that their child can see ghosts. The mother is definitely toxic. I feel there will be some mystery related to that in the later episodes.

I have to say the cinematography is weak. The background score could have been better. Even with a good story and ok acting the story feels lackluster because of this.
I was definitely surprised to see Nodt Nutthasid in here. This is the first time I’ve seen him since KinnPorsche.
Some things are good. Some things could have been better. We have to wait and see how the show holds up against so many others of the similar nature which are doing perfect.
