Frankly, we weren’t even surprised by this year’s results. We got a choke hold of BL pairings that have us hooked, booked & cooked. Some new and innovative, others old yet unique in their consistency. While most BL couples on this list are well known and their chemistry is a hit, we had a few new entrants adding to the glory of this fast-evolving genre. We are ecstatic to announce the “Top Ten BL Couples” in 2025!

10) Yoon Ji Sung & Jeong Ri U, Thundercloud Rainstorm

A fresh pairing always invites intrigue & critique. So did they, but Yoon Ji Sung & Jeong Ri U managed to squash all doubts with their lucid performance. The lead pair set the screens on fire with their combustible chemistry. Playing a dominant, toxic character isn’t easy, but Seo Jeong Han is classy, arrogant and hopelessly obsessive. Lee Il Jo’s naïveté and sweet attitude adds to this dimension and elevates their romance to another level!

9) Zi Yu & Tian Xu Ning, Revenged Love

Probably the only time we will see these two phenomenal actors together, “Revenged Love” became a global success because of the existent natural chemistry between main leads, Zi Yu & Tian Xu Ning. In an industry facing the stigma of Chinese censorship, they broke records and established their own fan base. Chi Cheng is rich, but extremely possessive, while Wu Suo Wei is crafty and manipulative; an odd combination that worked wonders in their favor!

8) Pond Naravit & Phuwin Tangsakyuen, Me and Thee

The resident couple in the GMMTV camp return with a romcom. It was an unimaginable concept because we are used to seeing Pond Naravit in rather serious roles, as against Phuwin Tangsakyuen who is known to play fluffy, endearing characters. The duo undergo a role reversal in this show; and the switch works for both of them. Thee is melodramatic and loud, yet sweet and caring; while Pheem is calm, composed and responsible. Their chemistry continues to win hearts as ever!

7) Daou Pittaya & Offroad Kantapon, The Wicked Game

The wild card entrants who are now dominating the BL world, Daou Pittaya & Offroad Kantapon have scripted success with their off-the-charts chemistry and mature acting skills. “The Wicked Game” has a diffident script; Offroad plays a character with an antagonistic vibe. And yet, their chemistry never dulls. Instead, it elevates the storytelling to unimaginable levels!

6) Joong Archen & Dunk Natachai, Dare You to Death

The last entry in 2025’s calendar, Joong & Dunk still managed to make their comeback swoon worthy. As one of the most popular couples in the GMMTV camp, they are obviously entitled to their own shows every year. “Dare You to Death” sets them apart by letting them duel in significantly mature roles. In particular, Dunk shines in his portrayal of a strict Inspector. The pull and push relationship between Jade & Kamin is delicious and flavorful!

5) Zhang Zhe Xu & Mi Jin, Kill to Love

The new kings on the block, Zhang Zhe Xu & Mi Jin have become a media sensation because of their solemn chemistry both onscreen & off screen. Fans are writing fiction stories to immortalize their relationship and the actors seem unfazed by this madness. Just as their characters, Duan Zi Ang and Xiao Shu He were. Zi Ang is tyrannical yet vulnerable, while Shu He is kind and caring. A classic combination that never fails to arouse your attention!

4) Jimmy Jitaraphol & Sea Tawinan, My Magic Prophecy

Another resident couple who have been making waves with their adorable chemistry. Jimmy and Sea are more prone to playing mature roles. The storytelling for their shows caters to this dynamics and their sweet camaraderie is an added bonus. They never fail at playing lovesick puppies who are made for each other, no matter which role they portray. Jimmy & Sea are the exact definition of “A Match Made in Heaven”.

3) Keng Harit & Namping Napatsakorn, Khemjira The Series

They came after a long wait, but it was a worthwhile experience to have witnessed their debut as a lead pair. The story was particularly interesting, garnering more than a million views; but the most impressive part was the solemn chemistry between Keng & Namping. They rode the wave and made an impactful imprint on the minds of avid fans!

2) Kan Hideyoshi & Fujimoto Kodai, School Trip: Joined a Group I’m Not Close To

The new couple on the block, who are ruling the current roster, Kan Hideyoshi & Fujimoto Kodai rewrote history with their very basic & simple chemistry. Without any overt NC scenes, Kan Hideyoshi earnestly projects Watarai’s subtle yearning and longing for the one he desires the most. Kodai compliments him well, as Hioki is extremely shy and has a tight control over his emotions. Together, they make a sweet couple, everyone loves & cheers for them!

1) Off Jumpol & Gun Atthaphan, Burnout Syndrome

Most couples fade after a few years, or their chemistry dies out; but this notion is inconceivable with OffGun. Having ruled over the BL world for decades, every role they take & portray is a living legacy. Their chemistry is to die for, and they are living the dream yet again as the ill-fated couple in “Burnout Syndrome”. Ko is an egomaniacal millionaire, who lives and breathes money. Jira is an artist searching for his muse. The combination doesn’t click, and yet OffGun make it work, like always!
