His BL Journey

Daou entered the BL industry with a guest role in the 2022 romcom “Rak Diao”. He stepped into his first lead role as Yang Yan Feng in the 2023 hit “Love in Translation” alongside his LAZ1 bandmate, Offroad Kantapon. They have been popular as a couple since their LAZ1 days, and this was their first project together. Daou plays a rather jaded businessman Yang is in pursuit of a Thai partnership, searching for a way to continue his business. He is a strict, disciplined man, as against Offroad’s Phumjai who comes across as a straight man initially but ends up falling in love with Yang. DaouOffroad’s avid fans had high expectations from this show and they lived up to their reputation. Despite being a low budget production, the show received rave reviews and the favorable ratings skyrocketed their popularity.

Their chemistry was further cemented by the 2024 sleeper hit “Century of Love”. This time around, it was Daou’s turn to play a straight man, who is rather homophobic. San, a Chinese immigrant, fell in love with Khun Wat, the daughter of a Thai aristocrat. Their romance began when she helped him recover after he was severely injured, healing him with the “five-colored stone” at a temple dedicated to a goddess. Tragically, as star-crossed lovers, Khun Wat died. The only way for them to be together again was for San to enter a century-long contract of immortality with the temple goddess, agreeing to wait for Khun Wat to be reborn. The catch was that he would be tormented every night; if he failed to reunite with her, he would also face a tragic death for eternity. After patiently waiting for 100 years, San met Vee, who is believed to be Khun Wat’s reincarnation. However, Vee is also a man. Daou plays this role with a fervent sincerity. The audience could feel San’s suffering every night as he is tortured by the terms of his contract. His yearning and longing are feasible in Daou’s every expression. So, is his shock when he realizes that his precious Khun Wat has reincarnated as a man. Initially, he is unable to accept the fact and mistreats Vee but as they slowly grow closer, he changes his opinion and wholeheartedly accepts Vee. This show set a new benchmark for their chemistry!

After setting the silver screen on fire with their chemistry in their earlier shows, DaouOffroad returned with the risqué action thriller “The Wicked Game”. Daou plays former police officer Than who takes a gig guarding Pheem, the youngest son of a private hospital owner. Than had been falsely accused and suspended because of Pheem’s elder brother. Pheem uses this as an excuse to scout Than and uses him for his nefarious scheme to uproot his entire family. Than is an easygoing, straightforward guy, who was dedicated to his work as a police officer. While working together, they slowly fall in love. And yet, Pheem keeps fooling him continously. Despite learning about his betrayal, Than never gives up on Pheem until he shoots him. Even then, Than tries to rescue Pheem when he is in a life-threatening situation. While Offroad had a critical role to play, Daou breezed through his performance as Than. He is earnest, kindhearted and quite gullible.

Daou is one of the most expressive stars in the BL industry. He is also one of the most popular singers in recent times. Even though he places a high priority on technique, in his opinion, a song cannot reach its full potential without storytelling and emotion. In particular, he is quite close to his LAZ1 bandmate Offroad, who considers him to be a very sincere person. Daou participated in several singing competitions in his childhood, but he never ended up winning. He has worked various jobs, such as waiter, salesman, night singer, and host. Daou has an affinity for playing diffident roles, and he is quite adept at portraying complex emotions. He is a dedicated actor and his passion for his work is apparent in the variant roles that he has portrayed!
