This was one of the most disappointing editions of this show!!

Evidently, reshooting the entire show was a colossal waste of time, both for the contestant and the audience. The original version was scrapped; two new contestants were introduced alongside an old entry from Season Two. But the fact remains that the rest of the contestants already knew each other, they were well acquainted, and the show seemed superficial. Since we didn’t know what transpired between them in the first shoot, the reshoot seemed staged. The locales and settings are much grander than the earlier seasons, but they aren’t enterprising enough to hold your attention. Halfway through the show, you get bored and the only reason to watch this show remains- who will be the winning couple?

Let’s meet the eleven contestants who competed to find their better halves, but did they find them??

These two were the most unlikely couple of the lot. Oh Min Seong was a part of the crew in Season Two. Even though he formed the winning pair, unfortunately they didn’t end up together. Lee Hyeong Jun on the other hand, was paired with Park Jae Ha in the original version. While Jae Ha agreed to reshoot his portions again, Hyeon Jun was against it. In the end, they parted ways, only to reunite during the reshoot. Jae Ha did his best to win over Hyeong Jun but was ultimately eliminated. Without knowing their history, Min Seong started pursuing Hyeon Jun. While Jae Ha was still inside the house, Hyeon Jun’s affections kept fluctuating between him & Min Seong. He only took a clear stand after Jae Ha was eliminated, and he started taking Min Seong seriously. In the end, after his consistent efforts, Min Seong walked out of “His Man” alongside Hyeon Jun proudly!!

Lee Hyun Jun & Kim Sun Wook

So, Kim Sun Wook has been pursuing Lee Hyun Jun since the first shoot. Like I already mentioned, we don’t know what happened between the contestants in the original version. While Kim Sun Wook was persistent in pursuing Hyun Jun, the latter didn’t seem so serious about their relationship initially. But slowly, Sun Wook won him over and Hyun Jun started responding favorably. They weren’t the most popular couple in this show, but they get points for trying and being consistent till the end, at least Sun Wook does!!

Final Impressions

I regret wasting my time watching this show, it was exhausting and never ending!!

The quality of this show is regrettably declining with each season. Season Four is the worst of the lot. They should have simply scrapped everything, or omitted the portions which included the problematic contestant instead of going for a reshoot. The reshoot didn’t make much sense and there wasn’t a single couple that I was cheering on. I simply watched this show because I wanted to get done with it and review this catastrophe. I wasn’t enthusiastic about the winning couples either!!
