2023 has been a banner year of for BL Dramas. With so many great dramas to choose from (and there are a LOT) I figured I would make a short list of my favorites so far.

Top Ten BL Dramas in 2022
2022 was a GREAT year for the BL Drama. From the supernaturally sweet Vice Versa to the rough and tumble trouble of KinnPorsche there was a plethora of series to choose from. While this list is far from complete, these are my top 10 favorite series in no particular order, except for the top 3 spots, which also have no particular order but are my three most favorite series of the last year.
Top 5 BL Dramas With a Message
When it comes to BL dramas, yes, there is a lot of fluff. Some of them, however, use the influence and reach of the actors to make compelling statements, like in the case of marriage equality.
be series by OnlyOneOf
Music has an extraordinary kind of magic. When the K-pop idol group OnlyOneOf (온리원오브) started their Underground Idol project in the summer of 2022, they created (what I believe to be) the first BL music video series be. The six-video series started with “begin” on 27 June 2022, with each subsequent video being released once a month, concluding with “beyOnd” on 4 January 2023.
“The Warp Effect” Series Review (Ep.3 to 12)
The Warp Effect was a surprise hit for me. It’s one of those series that, from beginning to end, has had me hooked.

“A Boss and a Babe” Series Review (Ep.3 to 12)
This GMMTV office comedy started hot – a worthy piece for lead couple Force Jiratchapong and Book Kasidet, proving once and for all that the lackluster Enchanté had nothing to with the acting and everything to do with everything else. Our Skyy 2: Never Let Me Go
Our Skyy 2 has finally premiered. I have been waiting for this series since GMMTV unveiled the teaser at their 2023: DIVERSELY YOURS event last November.
“Make a Wish” First Impression (Ep.1)
ภารกิจนายเทวดา (English: Make a Wish) is one of those shows where the first look can be deceiving.
Luke Ishikawa Plowden: No Road Untravelled
The 5 of February was a busy night in Hollywood. While most of the city is buzzing with the glitz and glamor of the 65th Annual Grammy Awards, I’m sitting down to talk to a man who’s half a world away. Born and raised in the United States, Luke Ishikawa Plowden is currently in Bangkok, Thailand, building an impressive acting resume and (fittingly enough) is at the very start of his music career. Sitting down in the offices of GMMTV, the Thai entertainment conglomerate Plowden is signed to, he’s an energetic and effervescent young man with bright eyes and an infectious smile.
“My School President” Series Review (Ep.3 to 12)
On 24 February, fans of the hit GMMTV series My School President said goodbye to TinnGun, ThiewProm, SoundWin, and a plethora of incredibly memorable characters who, over the last twelve weeks, have made us laugh, cry, and even shout out at our television screens. In my humble opinion, this series was the best of everything GMMTV has ever produced. From the chemistry of the leads to the catchiness of the series soundtrack, it’s easy to see how My School President became the talk of the industry, setting up Gemini and Fourth to take the crown as the heirs to the throne of the BL industry.
