Manga Review: The Red Thread – Volume 1

Until We Meet Again is one of those staple series in the BL genre. It’s unwavering promise that true love does conquer all, even when everything seems hopeless, and that not even death can stop it is powerful, to say the least. It’s just incredible. Recently, I was lucky enough to interview the author LazySheep and one of the things we talked about was the upcoming release of the first volume of English translation of the manga.

“Secret Service” by Tal Bauer

I first read Tal Bauer when his book “Gravity” was recommended to me by one of my IG mutuals with a good emphasis on low angst , high fluff and oh boy it did deliver on both accounts. But of the three books I have read by Tal Bauer, I liked this bodyguard romance more. And the reason I felt it works for me is because of the thriller aspect of the plot.

“Qiang Jin Jiu” by Tang Jiu Qing

Qiang Jin Jiu means “invitation to wine”. That wine refers to the wine drunk by the couple at the wedding celebration in the Chinese tradition. It’s not for less. This story is a love one, where the romantic feelings between the protagonists are born from their rivalry, suffering, and resilience.

“Sha Po Lang” by Priest

Criminal Intentions by Cole McCade (S1) Series Review

Baltimore homicide detective Malcolm Khalaji has his own way of doing things: quiet, methodical, logical, effective, not always particularly legal. He’s used to working alone—and the last thing he needs is a new partner ten years his junior.

Especially one like Seong-Jae Yoon , who also ranks higher than him. Icy , detached & beautiful Seong-Jae is all that and more, impossible to work with and headstrong enough to get them both killed…if they don’t kill each other first.

“My Ride, I Love You” by Patrick Rangsimant

I spent last week mostly in bed, sick, reading and working. When I was asked to review “My Ride, I love You” , it came as a good sign for me to re-read the book , or atleast parts of it. Because just the mention of this book makes me feel so happy and my face lights up with a smile.
