While Flower Boy may not be my favorite series of 2026, it did leave one particular impression on me: scent itself.

I honestly can’t think of a better way to open this review than with how the show ended:

“Runaway” is a Thai GL drama that mixes horror, mystery, and romance in an interesting way that feels authentic to watch and is exciting as well as adventurous. As time passes, she must face her past and find a way to survive. I feel that this concept is really new and interesting as far as the GL genre is concerned. The scriptwriter and director really did well in exploring this genre, especially in a sapphic romance where, most of the time, the women are portrayed as soft and gentle.
