“Takara kun to Amagi-kun” Series Review (Ep.3 to 8)

Starring Sato Arata and Oriyame Nao as main leads, Takara-kun to Amagi-kun is a high school drama about, well, high school. Of course, the shots, the picturisation, and the direction in itself were good. I thought the dialogue writing was fascinating as well, but their delivery did not sit right with me. The depth was missing. It was not all bad though, it was a cute story about two high school kids. You can definitely go for it if you want to watch pure fluff.

“SELF Series” First Impressions (Ep.1 & 2)

Boys Love series have become quite popular worldwide, especially in Thailand. And while the storylines differ, the topics are usually the same. However, a few BL series don’t follow the norm. This is the case of the well-known series Manner of Death, for example, which has received a lot of praise for its excellent plot full of suspense. This is also the case of Self, an unusual story whose mystery revolves around a mirror, and in the process introduces a new concept in BL.

“Memory” Series Review (Ep.1 to 14)

I have a special place in my heart for Vietnamese BLs. I consume them as they are so creative and tell substantial human stories on an emotional level. This one did too; just not as well as others. And I am sorry about that because I think their intent was in the right place. The execution was just not so effective.
