2025 saw a massive outflow of BL dramas; the astronomical number of productions were subjected. We had a diverse profile catering to a wider audience and, as such, this year’s awards are meant to recognize talents from a variety of diaspora. Some new and innovative, others old yet unique in their consistency. While most BL couples on this list are well known and their chemistry is a hit, we had a few new entrants adding to the glory of this fast-evolving genre. Gone are the days, when popular actors could drive the ratings for a show. These days, audiences focus more on quality than quantity. It has been excruciating year, in terms of BL production. The Asian subcontinent is churning shows & movies at a speed that is incomprehensible. It could be attributed to the fact that Thailand as the largest producer of queer content has found the liberty to legalize same-sex marriage. It was difficult to choose a select few for this list; I had to let go of quite a few shows to compile this feature. But here we are, so enjoy the feast!

Boys’ Love as a genre is expanding and undertaking several tropes. But there are still very few storylines each year, that lucidly explore the themes of maturity. Today’s feature includes such far-fetched shows that made a mark with their thought-provoking stories!
Comedy BLs are rare gems that are hard to find. To get the comic timing right is a skill that many actors can’t accomplish. So, this genre is barely surviving in the BL industry. But that doesn’t mean, we don’t have good shows that are lighthearted & have an irresistible comedic flair!
You might get reported to HR if you strike up a romance in your office, but these guys are luckier. I have a soft spot for workplace romance, much more so than school romances. All of these recommendations have happy endings. And there’s one show with a throuple lurking in this list.
