“Beyond the Star” Series Review (Ep.3 to 8)

After completely watching the series, I only felt one thing, which was what the hell happened in last few episodes because it felt incomplete. Empty plot lines, rushed ending and no character development. Even in romantic sense, there was no development. Sure there was intimacy but it felt too much scripted after certain time because it felt like, instead of creating a solid story line, the writer and director were too focused on repetitive and boring intimate scenes between the couples. Some scenes were good but most of them were bland and boring. The main thing around dancing and singing, since they were trying to create a boyband.

“Beyond the Star” First Impressions (Ep.1 & 2)

“Beyond the Star” is a Thai BL drama which revolves around the entertainment industry, where young people with passion and dreams gather to fulfill these different talent hunt AGENCIES who release and train artists. In the show” Beyond the star” is a project that trains a bunch of newly joined people in their talent agency. Since this show is based on Entertainment Industry, of course there will be a rival agency that will focus on the same thing. Now, in the first episode, we see both company Manger or say Directors, Araya and Kiat Sitting together dramatically drinking wine while talking to each other in a so-called classy manner. Though the faceover between trainees of both rival agencies in the first scene was good; the introduction of trainees happens so fast that it’s hard to remember who is who. Kengakla, Namo, Kita, Nathee, Tul, Trin, Copper, Mawin, Tonnam, Phupha and Phark are the characters who are trainees. In the first two episodes we get to know that Kita (Willi Arawill) and Nathee (Focus Poonyavee) are secretly dating even though the Agency has strict no dating rules but “love is love” and we can see two more future couples as well- Kengkla (Llouis Kitawat), Namo (Bank Chanwut) and Mawin (Tae Natthapat) with Mangkorn (Bigboss Woraphon).

“Hit Bite Love” Series Review (Ep.3 to 6)

The first season of “Hit Bite Love The Series” seemed like a surprisingly fresh BL series. With the lack of the now aged format of Engineering and Medical students in favor of using High School teenagers, the show seemed to have an innovative edge. It was an interesting experience, to say the least. I myself found myself enraptured with the characters.

“Hit Bite Love” First Impressions (Ep. 1 & 2)

Thai BL’s have come a long way after years of using the “Medical Students and Engineers” archetypes to summarize both characters as encompassing a BL couple. From 2022, these attempts seem to be abandoned, in favor of more unique characters. Which is very much the case with Jinloe’s new BL, “Hit Bite Love – The Series”. Jinloe is a production company known for “What The Duck”, “What The Duck : Final Call”, and “War of High School”. “Hit Bite Love – The Series” has a large cast drawing attention to the troupes that we, as viewers, enjoy; while acknowledging that sex sells, a fact that can be both good and bad for the show. The first episode has as of today 1.2 million views, while the second episode has over four hundred thousand views within a day of airing. I don’t think the fact that the first episode having two illicit scenes, one of which is featured as the YouTube thumbnail, had nothing to do with the explosive numbers of views world wide. But is “Hit Bite Love – The Series” worth a glance? Find out below.
