2022 was a GREAT year for the BL Drama. From the supernaturally sweet Vice Versa to the rough and tumble trouble of KinnPorsche there was a plethora of series to choose from. While this list is far from complete, these are my top 10 favorite series in no particular order, except for the top 3 spots, which also have no particular order but are my three most favorite series of the last year.

While we spend the last three weeks listing our favorite Thai BL dramas, this week onward we will be diving into the Japanese shores. Despite lingual limitations that often cause delays in international premiere, Japanese BLs are always at the top of the game. Best Friendships in the BL World
Although most BL dramas focus on romance between the BL/GL couples, another element that plays an important role in the storyline is- Friendship. Confused teenagers often seek advice from their friends that encourage and support them. Being a member of the LGBTQ community is difficult, so friends become a big part of the support system that drives them forward.
