Admittedly, my favorite Asian BLs for this year (so far) is an eclectic mix and perhaps not of a ‘mainstream’ conformity. I am an individual who does not follow any set of rules in establishing what I find to be my favorite. Therefore, I tend to not like what most others find as fashionable or currently trending. I am also not an avid follower of any particular BL artist, although I do think some actors are better than others.

“Marahuyo Project” Series Review (Ep.1 to 8)
This Pinoy BL is everything one can wish for in the genre. It’s witty, inclusive, empowering, shows the power of solidarity and strength in numbers that is fundamental to the queer community, while also highlighting the challenges most societies still face with backwards thinking homophobes and transphobes. While queer representation is quite high, there are rising sentiments of queerphobia throughout the world, even in the West and it is important to continue to highlight and uplift queer voices that are too quickly erased in the world, as was done to Baylan Nalundasan in Marahuyo.

Weekend Exclusives
Being Pride Month means that the celebrations don’t cease to exist. While everyone is still overwhelmed about same sex marriage being legalized in Thailand, the potpourri of queer culture; we have a consistent out pour of trailers and new updates. Suffice to say, our newsroom is atypically busy these days!
