“My Story The Series” First Impressions (Ep.1 & 2)

The 2020 Pinoy BL series “My Day” burst on the scene with diverse takes from fans and reviews on whether the series was worth watching. The show was funny with a touch of charm, as the blue collar Sky (Miko Gallardo) fell in love with Ace (Aki Torres) who was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. 3 years later have the sequel “My Story” which gives us a glimpse into Sky’s life. Miss Becky, Kim, Jelai, and Jam bid a send off to most of the events that happened before in the prequel.

Battling some fierce competition with groundbreaking web series like “Gameboys The Series”, “Hello Stranger”, “Quaranthings” and “Like in the Movies”, the show that caught everyone’s attention was “Ben X Jim”. Starring a rustic cast, the coming of age romance helmed by Filipino Director, Easy Ferrer won worldwide appreciation and was hailed as one of the best scripted Pinoy BLs in recent times. As a screenwriter and director, he has worked on several projects like- Finding You, The Missing and B X J Forever. Currently working on his new teenage love story “The Day I Loved You”, Mr. Ferrer joined us for a conversation to talk about this upcoming show, its unique casting and the thought process behind the making of each drama!

Upcoming Asian BL Dramas- Part III

With Korean BLs on the rise, March saw an unprecedented increase in the number of BL dramas. “Our Dating Sim”, “A Shoulder to Cry On” and “Unintentional Love Story” are dominating the current scenario with their niche storytelling and phenomenal casting. On the other hand, Thai BLs have been on a slow wind; the recent disappointment being the highly anticipated drama “Make a Wish”. The show’s international premiere is still uncertain and, as such, it has left avid fans teetering on the edge.
