Popular Japanese BL “Ossan’s Love” is set to return to the silver screens with a new sequel; Kento Hayashi, Kei Tanaka, and Kotaro Yosida will be reprising their character roles of Ryota Maki, Soichi Haruta, and Musashi Kurosawa. Promotions are in full swing with the official accounts releasing individual character profiles alongside an intriguing teaser video which portrays the varied dynamics between our main leads. The show has ensemble casting which involves Iura Arata, Miura Shohei, Uchida Rio, Kaneko Daichi, Ito Shuko, Kojima Kazuya, Mashima Hidekazu and Ohtsuka Nene in supporting roles.

Synopsis-

The show will depict the “newlywed life” of Maki after he returns from being transferred to Singapore. Haruta, now 40, is trying to overcome the woes of the pandemic and their long-distance relationship. Since they are given more responsibility at their workplace, the couple struggle with dividing their household chores. Meanwhile, Musashi, who had taken an early retirement, gets a new job. As he visits the couple, his old feelings for Haruta reignite.

The sequel is set to premiere in 5th January 2024 and will air every Friday at TV Tokyo. International platform not yet announced.

The official accounts have also released the first look stills for the show, which evoke a look of confusion on Maki & Haruta’s face when Kurosawa visits them.
