Introduction: Build Jakapan Puttha was an artist under Be on Cloud Limited. He became known in the BL (Boys’ Love) community with the series “KinnPorsche” released on April 2, 2022. He played the role of Pete, the bodyguard of the main family Theerapanyakul, which allowed him to create a pairing with the actor Bible Wichapas Sumettikul (Vegas Theerapanyakul in the series), known as BibleBuild. In 2023, he resigned from his agency due to a scandal with his ex-girlfriend, Poi Patchayamon Theewasujaroen.

Poi Patchayamon Theewasujaroen is the co-writer of the famous mafia world inherent of the “KinnPorsche Story, VegasPete Story, Macau Story, TimeTayTem Story, TopTan Story and KimChay Story”. She wrote these novels with Yok Sitthichai Panya under the pen name Daemi. On May 12, 2022, Yok and Poi established Daemi House. They separated themselves from Be on Cloud to own the creation, production, sale, and distribution of all the merchandise related to the “Mafia World including KinnPorsche”. At the beginning of 2023, she resigned from her own company and vowed to stop writing. She had one of the biggest scandals of the BL industry with Build Jakapan Puttha, and she sold all her works to the company Space Plus in 2024.

Context:

Misogyny scandal

On June 4, 2022, Be on Cloud issued a statement regarding misogynistic tweets that Build had posted in the past. They decided to suspend the artist until things calmed down with the public. He made his return on stage where he apologized sincerely for his past behavior. However, he had already lost many fans and received a lot of hateful comments. He could no longer appear anywhere or even collaborate without his integrity and legitimacy being called into question. Unfortunately, this had a huge impact on his scandal with the author Poi.

Daemi’s scandal with BOC’s actors

In June 2022, a scandal erupted involving the cast members of KinnPorshe and the authors Daemi after videos surfaced showing the authors’ inappropriate behavior towards the artists. Fans created the hashtag BOCSTOPDAEMI or STOPDAEMI where they shared videos depicting Daemi’s behavior towards the artists, in addition to calling on Be on Cloud to take action against the authors or at least issue a statement regarding their behavior. However, since May 2022, Daemi had already established their independent company with the creation of Daemi House. As a result, many fans of the series Kinnporshe began to distrust Yok and Poi, and a hatred arose towards BOC because they did not communicate about the previous scandal.

BOC Line up 2023

On January 11, 2023, BOC announced its 2023 lineup presented by the famous Thai content creator and MC Vuthithorn “Woody” Milintachinda. This announcement caused a lot of excitement, especially among fans of BibleBuild, who were anticipating that the two actors would have their own series. They were not disappointed because on January 18, 2023, during the lineup presentation, the series “4 Minutes” was introduced to the fans as a BibleBuild project. We had little information about the series, just posters, a teaser, and the information that the characters would be written in the likeness of the main actors.

On January 19, 2023, Poi and Yok announced that they would stop writing and leave their company, Daemi House, as they could no longer bear the “rumors” circulating about them, alleging that they were bad people and had harmed the actors of KinnPorsche.

Yok’s post on X: “Jade is tired of waking up and being accused, gossiped about, slandered, living a life where you’re spied on and stared at all the time, where you have to analyze the right moment to attack or have fun. So far, I feel I haven’t experienced true happiness.

I love all the readers, I love you very much, but I’d like to live a freer life than the one I have now. I also support Jade”.

Following this press conference, Poi announced on X (Twitter) that the “4 Minutes” project had been stolen from her by Build, sparking another scandal.

On January 21, 2023, Build apologized again in public following Poi’s accusations. He explained that he remained friends with the authors despite their behavior and broke down in tears on stage. Sammon (the writer of “4 Minutes”) confirmed on X (Twitter) that the script for “4 Minutes” had not been stolen from anyone. This was the last straw for Poi, and the day after these events, she made a series of tweets that shook the entire BL world, creating one of the biggest scandals in the industry.

Poi’s accusations

On January 22, 2023, Poi started to accuse Build of multiple allegations. She started by saying that they were dating, and he cheated on her multiple times. Then she continues by saying that he would give the gifts she gave him to the girls he was cheating on her with. In addition to living in an apartment she paid for, he would send the girls there. She went on to accuse him of stealing a large sum of money from her. Then she begins to talk about physical violence with pictures of bruises in a conversation. Finally, she mentions a pregnancy that she had to terminate because he refused to have a child according to her. While she accused him of all the aforementioned, an internet user started spreading the rumor that he had also hit his previous girlfriends. These claims were quickly denied by the ex-girlfriends; however, the majority of internet users sided with Poi due to Build’s previous scandal about his misogynistic remarks, he seemed like the perfect culprit to many. Meanwhile, Build’s fans were searching for evidence to exonerate him. They found that the ultrasound photos were from Pinterest. They retrieved videos under the hashtag STOPDAEMI to prove that Poi was a violent person or that she could have inflicted the bruises on herself. With these same videos, they wanted to prove that they had never been in a relationship.

BOC actions

On Be on Cloud’s side, they were under immense pressure from the fans. Thai fans, who were mostly against Build, were demanding that he be fired or suspended. Meanwhile, Build’s predominantly international fans were asking BOC to do everything possible to ensure justice for Build. Therefore, on January 22, 2023, they made the decision to suspend Build from all agency activities to give him time to resolve the matter with Poi. Build had already temporarily closed his social media account (e.g. Instagram). The agency did not want to get involved in what they considered to be a private matter. On January 23, 2023, BOC announced that they would hold a live session for both parties to explain and clarify the events in front of the fans. They explained that all parties had agreed to participate in the live session, which was scheduled for January 28, 2023. However, on January 27, 2023, BOC issued a statement explaining that Poi had withdrawn, and she began tweeting that the agency was trying to silence her and cover up the matter. As a result, she began to threaten BOC to take legal action against them. Nonetheless, the live session was still held on January 28, 2023, with Build expected to clarify certain points of the dispute. However, that day, Build announced during the live session that he had decided to resign from the agency to deal with this matter.

Red Skull

Red Skull is an independent Thai media outlet known for giving a voice to the oppressed and conducting investigations. On January 30, 2023, Red Skull posted a portion of a recording of a conversation between Build and Poi you can read its transcription below. According to rumors, this audio was delivered to Red Skull by a close friend of Build who wanted to help him in this matter. Red Skull has been one of Build’s greatest allies and never missed an opportunity to show that Poi had an obsessive side by sharing private conversations.

Hope and Come back

The month of February was filled with hope and support for Build. He received a tribute during the KinnPorshe world tour in Hong Kong on February 1, 2023. His fans raised money to help him pay for legal fees after learning from the audio that he was facing financial difficulties. Fans wanted to gift him with a car to replace the one he returned to Poi, but they were notified that he can not accept it.

On February 21, 2023, Build made his first public appearance since January 28, 2023, to file his complaint against Poi at the Bangkok Criminal Court. On March 9, 2023, the 16-year-old girl who started the rumor that he had also been violent towards his ex-girlfriends apologized to Build on social media after receiving a cease and desist letter from his lawyer.

On April 5, 2023, Build surprised his fans with his return on Instagram and X with posts under the hashtag BuildisBack, announcing an event scheduled for his birthday, June 4, 2023. On April 19, 2023, he continued to tease his comeback using the hashtag Buildiscomingback. Then, on April 25, 2023, he announced his first solo concert, The Reborn. Regarding his scandal with the author of KinnPorshe, Poi, the trial was supposed to take place in May. It was on May 9, 2023, that we received news from both parties regarding the future of this matter. Poi and Build decided to settle everything amicably. They both posted a letter on the X application to clarify the truth about what happened between them. Poi admitted to lying about her pregnancy and exaggerating the accusations of violence, while Build confessed to being in a relationship with her and recording her without her consent.

On June 4, 2023, Build held his Reborn concert. During this concert, one question remained unanswered for the Bubbles (fans of BibleBuild): will Build star in 4 Minutes? Build responded by explaining that for the time being, he did not want to depart from his current character, which is helping him move forward after everything he has been through, and therefore he will not participate in 4 Minutes. Bible responded to his statement in a post on X where he concluded with “Auf Wiedersehen,” which means goodbye in German.

The Messages

On July 16, 2023, the X account Be Brave asked Thai fans to translate a series of messages between Build and various individuals, including Poi, that were sent from the beginning to the middle of the year 2022. Only a portion of the messages caught everyone’s attention, and they were as follows: Build had asked Poi to pay for his sports coach and became angry when she didn’t do it on time. During his scandal regarding his misogynistic remarks, he blamed his friends and was annoyed by the fans’ attitude. Poi allegedly proposed the fandom name for BibleBuild, “bubble”. His jealousy towards Apo and his colorist remarks about him. He was jealous of MileApo’s popularity. He spoke poorly of Bas and said that Job was a burden. He made homophobic remarks about Pond. He made colorist and homophobic remarks about JJ. He said Kai was ugly. He said he would like to see Poi raped and killed. And he made homophobic remarks about Bible and mocked Barcode. Following the disclosure of all these messages, he apologized on July 16, 2023, defended Pond in his comments because a user was mocking him for supporting Build. BOC members like Pond began to unfollow him one by one, but what hurt the fans the most was Bible’s unfollow. Koreaboo wrote an article against him because he also mocked Jackson of Got7. He lost support from some fans, received criticism from K-pop fans, but managed to retain a good portion of his fans through his public apologies.

Many of Build’s fans defended him by saying that the translations were not accurate, giving the impression that he was more violent in his remarks. Additionally, he had just had his first photoshoot in a Chinese magazine under his own company, Build Your Love for you. However, following the artists’ unfollowing and Build’s apologies, doubts were dispelled as they spoke Thai. On July 17, 2023, Build’s sister posted a story from the courthouse, suggesting that he would once again file a complaint against Poi as she was accused of leaking his messages or at least giving them to a group of fans who would act on her behalf. However, since that photo, nothing has happened. Build continued to develop his career mainly in China, regularly holding fan meetings and photoshoots. Finally, while Bible began filming the series 4 Minutes on April 4, 2024, with his new partner, the famous One31 actor Jespipat, Build released the teaser for his new project, Infinity, produced in collaboration with the Chinese company Bellga Entertainment on April 5, 2024.
