Your Sky Series

Mandee Work Official in collaboration with Domundi TV will be co-producing “Your Sky Series”. Adapted from the novel “Your Sky” (Your sky #กี่หมื่นฟ้า) by 25.15.66, the show stars Thomas Chungmanirat & Kong Kongpob Jirojmontri in lead roles as Muenfa & Thirak. The story focuses on a boy who, after a few drinks, asks his senior for a kiss.

Synopsis-

Got the nickname ‘drunken and perverse’ from friends. At first, I thought it was a bit exaggerated. But probably not too much. Because this time, Darling got drunk and went to beg a Senior to kiss his forehead…Pradipat Pisut ‘Mueanfa’ loves Niran ‘Darling’.

GDH’s New Projects

GDH will be launching 4 new projects at the Marché du Film at the Cannes Film Festival.

One of them is the Thai GL “Flat Girls” (working title). Directed by Jirassaya Wongsutin, the story is a coming-of-age drama about the daughter of a police sergeant, questioning her sexuality. Casting still unannounced.

Synopsis-

Jane is the daughter of a police sergeant. She has lived in the same block of police flats—subsidised government housing provided to policemen and their families—since birth. Following the death of her father, Jane and her mother must prepare to leave. As their moving date approaches, Jane reflects on a youth spent within the confines of the police flats. Memories surface from her past as a chubby-cheeked high school student still questioning her sexuality. These memories bring past secrets to light: secrets Jane has never told anyone. The second film is the Thai BL titled “The Paradise of Thorns” (working title-“The Marriage Movie”). Directed by Boss Naruebet, the movie stars Jeff Satur & Engfa Waraha in lead roles.

Synopsis-

Thongkham and Sek, a devoted gay couple, have worked tirelessly to build a life together, including owning a house and a durian orchard in Mae Hong Son. Tragedy strikes when Sek dies suddenly in an accident, revealing that they were never legally married in Thailand, leaving Thongkham with no rights to their assets. The house and orchard now belong to Sek’s mother, who moves in with her adopted daughter Mo and gardener Jingna. Thongkham must now fight to reclaim the fruits of his love and labor.

After his return to homeland, popular Thai BL actor Tul Pakorn has been featured in a string of magazines. In the midst of speculations surrounding his close relationship with Thai star Mew Suppasit, Tul Pakorn talked about their friendship in the recent issue of L’Officiel Malaysia.

Love Letters

Honda Kyoya (Jack Frost) will be starring in the audio drama “Love Letter” opposite Ousuke Saito, to be released on 19th June. The work was created at the Monocon 2023 contest, an annual summer event. At the event, the Listening Monogatary.com+ (Plus) Prize solicited original works for the audio drama that will be starring the upcoming actor, Honda Kyoya. Furthermore, at the same time as this contest, auditions were held in five cities nationwide for a male cast to play the role opposite Honda, and after careful selection, Ousuke Saito won the grand prize to star in the work.

Synopsis-

Iijima writes a letter to Kazuma, expressing his feelings for him, but discovers the news is false. Kazuma takes the letter, prompting Iijima to retrieve it.

Air Moment

New project announced by Bibbidii Entertainment. Titled “Air Moment”, the show will be directed by David Baginder (Be Mine SuperStar) and stars Earth Teerapat (2moons2), Double Tuptep (House of stars the series), First Kantapon, Leo Peerapun, Mind Napasasi, Manow Sornsin, Tina Suppanat in lead roles.

Pag Pag Film

Upcoming Pinoy BL releases a short teaser starring the main leads Denbert Tiamson and Kcedrick Balagat, alongside a call for crowdfunding as it gears up to start its principal photography. Written and directed by Jay-r Julio, produced by Aiah Gertos & Jelsy Arcales, the film follows two best friends from high school who, after visiting the wake of a deceased friend, decide to go pagpag. Pagpag is the practice of making a short pit stop before going home after a wake. The belief is that this will confuse any spirits who are trying to make their way home with you. For the younger generation (or less superstitious people), it can also be a good way to decompress with others before heading home.

The Silence of Singularity

Official trailer released for the Brazilian short film “The Silence of Singularity”. Directed by Julio Alves, the film stars Caio Vinícius, Rafael Câmara, Beti Rodrigues, Flavia Monteiro, Samara Maria, and Jota Isnard.

Synopsis-

Follows the journey of Thiago, an 18-year-old young man, simple, Christian and passionate about astrophysics. His life takes a turn for the worse when he realizes he is developing feelings for his best friend.

Knock Knock Boys

First look posters released alongside official teaser for the upcoming romcom “Knock Knock Boys”. Set to premiere on 30th May, the show is a coming-of-age romcom starring Seng Wichai (“Secret Crush On You”), Best Vittawin (“Check Out The Series”), Nokia Chinnawat, and Jaonine Jiraphat in lead roles.

Some Nights I Feel Like Walking

Chinese sales agent Parallax Films will be bringing a trio of titles to the Cannes market, which includes Filipino director Petersen Vargas’ latest LGBTQ+ film “Some Nights I Feel Like Walking”. It is a co-production between the Philippines, Singapore and Italy, with Alemberg Ang and Jade Francis Castro as producers and Anthony Chen, Tan Si En and Stefano Centini as co-producers.

Synopsis-

A rich teenage runaway finds belonging in a band of street hustlers as he joins them on a road trip to fulfill their dead friend’s final wish: to go home.

Mom Ped Sawan

Max Nattapol & Kaownah Kittipat will be playing the supporting couple in Thai PBS’s upcoming period GL “Mom Ped Sawan”. Kaownah will be playing the role of the dancer, Kwan and Max will be playing the police officer, Prajong.

Takara No Vidro

Hiroshi Iwase & Konishi Eito will be playing the main lead roles in the upcoming manga adaptation “Takara No Vidro”. This work depicts a pure, single-minded, sweet-sour love story between Taishin Nakano, a junior who moved to Tokyo from Fukuoka, and Takara Shiga, a caring senior. Premieres on on July 1st.

Synopsis-

Taishin has moved to Tokyo from his hometown of Fukuoka in order to reunite with Takara, a stranger who had consoled him in his grief the year prior. However, despite finally getting a chance to express his gratitude to Takara at college, he is given the cold shoulder! But Taishin, undeterred, decides to pursue Takara anyway, and Takara finds himself becoming more and more enchanted by Taishin’s straightforward and earnest gaze.
