Fresh BL/GL Pairings That Are Slowly Making Their Mark- Edition IV

As we spend the past three weeks talking about fresh pairings in the BL/GL world, it was imperative to draw lots on the emerging ones as well. We have quite a few pairings waiting to make their grand debut and the excitement surrounding their chemistry is feverish. The “Will They/Won’t They” scenario calls for thorough research, and we are willing to oblige!

Jimmy Karn & Ohm Thanakrit

Jimmy made his acting debut opposite Tommy Sittichok in “Why R U?” in 2020. Despite being filmed under Covid-19 restrictions, the show was a runaway hit, skyrocketing Jimmy & Tommy into stardom. They worked together in “Close Friend S1” as well. Jimmy & Tommy were later cast in the Thai & Korean collaboration “Peach of Time”, but they weren’t paired together. This should have been taken as a cue because Tommy soon announced his unwillingness to star in BL dramas. Now, three years later, Jimmy will be starring in the upcoming regal romance “The Next Prince” where he is paired opposite Ohm Thanakrit (Night Dream). The pairing looks fresh and the chemistry was on point in the recently released trailer. Even their visuals are insane!

Net Siraphop & JJ Radchapon

Another pairing that met the dust was Net Siraphop & his “Bed Friend” co-star James Supamongkon. This couple shot to fame even before their show premiered online. Their explosive chemistry was much appreciated, and they soon became fan favorites. They were supposed to be paired in the upcoming historical romance “Love Upon a Time”. Unfortunately, James announced that he won’t be working in BL dramas anymore, as he wants to focus on his music career. The announcement was met with disappointment by avid fans of the couple. Next we heard, Net revealed that he has found his new onscreen partner, who is a friend of his younger brother. Amidst speculations and catcalls, Net took to his social media to introduce JJ Radchapon as his new onscreen partner. Since then, they have been regularly posting updates on X, and they sure are adorable.

Jes Jespipat & Bible Wichapas

Bible Wichapas made his acting debut as a villain in the hugely popular adaptation “KinnPorsche The Series”. Paired opposite rookie actor Build Jakapan, their fiery chemistry made them instant heartthrobs. Pegged to be paired again in the suspense thriller “4 Minutes” they were making waves when Build fell from grace due to the controversy surrounding his relationship with KinnPorsche author Poi Patchayamon. Build was suspended from work, and he eventually left Be on Cloud. Left unpaired, Bible had to wait until Be on Cloud welcomed his new onscreen partner, Jes Jespipat. They were recently appeared in the short film “Spaceless” in collaboration with popular Thai pop band Getsunova. The chemistry is off-the-charts and you can definitely look forward to watching some sparkling romance in “4 Minutes”.

Ohm Pawat & Leng Thanaphon

Ohm Pawat isn’t new to the BL scene, he had already worked in popular dramas like “Make It Right”, “Make It Right 2”, “He’s Coming to Me”, “The Shipper” and the 2019 classic “Dew the Movie”. Despite such a varied repertoire, he never had a consistent onscreen partner. Things changed when he was paired opposite Nanon Korapat in the 2021 sleeper hit “Bad Buddy”. The show’s popularity cemented their position as a bankable couple, and they quickly rose to higher ranks. Unfortunately, Nanon announced his intention to discontinue working in BL dramas. This was met with catcalls from avid fans who couldn’t accept the reality that their favorite couple won’t be working together as an onscreen couple. GMMTV was met with protests to pair them again. In the midst of this turmoil, GMMTV’s revelation that Ohm would be paired opposite Leng Thanaphon, his new onscreen partner in “Kidnap Series” was met with disapproval. The show is currently in filming stage and the promotions sure look interesting. But can this couple win over the “OhmNanon” magic?

Namtan Tipnaree and Film Rachanun

Veteran actresses from the GMMTV camp, who are making their debut as an onscreen couple in their upcoming GL production; both Namtan & Film ooze charisma and elegance. The beautiful actresses have finished the script reading session and are undergoing training in the workshop. Both are already quite famous because of their unbridled chemistry, and we can’t wait to watch them onscreen in the upcoming adaptation “Pluto Series”.

Bonnie Pussarasorn & Emi Thasorn

Another new pairing in making, rookie actor Bonnie Pussarasorn will be paired opposite veteran actress, Emi Thasorn in “Us Series”. Their trailblazing chemistry was spot-on in the pilot trailer released in the second part of “GMMTV Line Up 2024”. We don’t have many updates pertaining to this couple as Emi is currently working in “Wandee Goodday”, “The Rebound” and “Perfect10 Liners” as a supporting actress. But these two would be making waves when their show premieres.

Est Supha & William Jakrapatr

Est was first paired opposite Meen Nichakoon in “Love by Chance 2: A Chance to Love”. Though they didn’t amount to much screentime, Est’s chemistry with Meen was admirable. Unfortunately, they weren’t paired again and Meen has moved to greener pastures with his new onscreen partner, Ping Krittanun. Now paired opposite William Jakrapatr, Est will be making his main lead debut in GMMTV’s upcoming musical romance “Thame – Po Heart That Skips a Beat”. Even before the project was announced, avid fans have been shipping William & Est for quite a while. So the announcement was met with excitement. The stars are currently undergoing training in the workshop and might start filming soon!

Mark Pakin & Ohm Thipakorn

Another shipped couple who made it to reality. Mark Pakin’s first major role as a BL actor was opposite Neo Trai in “Only Friends”. Neo had already acted in BL roles but this was Mark’s debut act. Embodying their sensuous characters, Mark & Neo won fans with their highly charged sexual chemistry. Similarly, Ohm Thipakorn was paired opposite Fluke Pusit in “A Boss and a Babe” and their cute chemistry was praiseworthy. Mark & Ohm were first shipped together when they danced together during “The Last Twilight” concert. Fan’s avid wish came true and both actors will be making their debut as an onscreen couple in “Sweet Tooth, Good Dentist”. Fingers crossed!

Lingling Sirilak & Orm Kornnaphat

As the lead pair of Channel 3’s first GL production, Lingling Sirilak & Orm Kornnaphat have already swept the social media with their elegant looks and somber chemistry as portrayed in the show’s teasers and promotions. Taking on the roles of ex-lovers, this show is another anticipated release, and we can expect some sexy times starting 24th June.

Sonya Saranphat & Lookmhee Punyapat

The lead pair of CHANGE2561’s first GL production “Affair” have good looks and an adorable chemistry. The first teaser released for this upcoming adaptation showcased their strong chemistry, and they are certainly social media favorites. The “Friends to Lover’s” trope might seem overused but when you have two gorgeous ladies romancing each other onscreen, what more could you ask for!

Seng Wichai & Best Vittawin

Paired in the currently streaming romcom “Knock Knock Boys”, Seng & Best’s unwavering chemistry is winning over fans. Seng made his big screen debut opposite Billy Patchanon in “Secret Crush on You”. Their chemistry was commendable and fans shipped them ardently. Things fell apart when it was revealed that Seng is in a relationship with “Gap The Series” star Freen Sarocha. Best was paired opposite Chahub Marut in “Check Out Series”. The show’s abysmal script didn’t amount to much but the lead pair had a believable chemistry. Now, paired together, Best & Seng are rewriting history, and we are enjoying their antics!

Nokia Chinnawat & Jaonine Jiraphat

Paired together in an ensemble casting that involves veteran actors like Seng Wichai & Best Vittawin; Nokia & Jaonine are undoubtedly making their mark. Their adorable chemistry and good looks are winning fans, and we can’t wait to watch their characters realize their feelings for each other!

This brings us to the end of this feature, but we will revisit it sometime in the near future again!
