Shutline

Do7 Entertainment has released the second teaser for their anticipated manga adaptation “Shutline”. Shutline is an ongoing manhwa at seventy-seven chapters being written and illustrated by KYOU. First released in 2021, it has been published officially in English, Korean, and Japanese by Lezhin. The story focuses on Shin who struggles financially as a mechanic, but when Jake, a tall, blond man with a million-dollar car repair business, comes to him, Shin is reluctant to let him go. However, giving Jake his number may be the biggest mistake he’s ever made.

Mr. Mitsuya’s Planned Feeding

Official poster released for “Mr. Mitsuya’s Planned Feeding” alongside the supporting cast. Adapted from the manga series “Mitsuya Sensei no Keikakutekina Ezuke.” (三ツ矢先生の計画的な餌付け) by Matsumoto Ayaka (松本あやか), the show stars Masayoshi Yamasaki and Taisei Sakai in lead roles. Joining them are Maruyama Tomomi, Uno Shohei, Kawamo Chiaki, Mihara Ui & Imamori Maya. Set to premiere on July 25 on MBS Drama Phil timeslot.

Synopsis-

The “human gourmet love story” begins when Tomoya Ishida, a rookie editor at a woman’s magazine who is still unsure of his job environment, is asked by a more experienced colleague to take charge of a regular food column written by an old man named Ayumu Mitsuya. Ishida decides to pay Mitsuya a visit, and upon meeting Mitsuya, sees him as a charming, witty gentleman with a cute side, and who can cook a delicious dish. Ishida’s interactions with Mitsuya begins to make the younger editor more comfortable in his job, and he begins to see Mitsuya not just as a work partner, but as something else entirely.

IS Entertainment announced that actresses Mew Thanthip, Fahsai Minyada, Ningning Marika & Puyfai Naipapron have ended their contract. Most of the original casting of “Be Mine Series” have moved onto greener pastures. As such, the future of the adaptation remains uncertain.

Chaser Game W Season Two

Japanese GL “Chaser Game W” has been renewed for Season Two. Depicting a love story between a lesbian boss and her subordinate at a game development company, this drama depicts the emotional conflict that arises from feelings of unrequited love for an ex-lover. Starring Yurika Nakamura and Yuuka Sugai as Fuyu and Itsuki, Yuuka Sugai played the main character Itsuki Harumoto, and Yurika Nakamura portrayed her ex-lover, Hayamashi Fuyu who broke up with her when they were in college.

Season 2 will delve into their relationship, one-year gap after Itsuki and Fuyu parted ways, which was not told in the previous work, and the story of them finally reconciling. It is said that new cast members who will be significantly involved in the relationship between the two will also appear one after another. Set to premiere on September 19.

The Paradise of Thorns

One of the most anticipated releases this year, GDH began the festivities with releasing the official trailer for Jeff Satur & Engfa Waraha’s upcoming film “The Paradise Of Thorns”, (working title-“The Marriage Movie). Directed by Boss Naruebet, the movie is set to premiere on 22nd August in theaters.

Project Red

The next big announcement was pertaining to the “I Told Sunset About You” couple, Billkin Putthipong & PP Krit who will be starring in the next project “Project Red”. Director Moo Chayanop will be helming the project.

Flat Girls

GDH also officially introduced the cast of “Flat Girls”, a sapphic coming-of-age film. Starring Earnearn Fatima & Fairy Kirana Pipityakorn as main leads, the film is directed by Claire Jirassaya.

Synopsis-

Jane is the daughter of a police sergeant. She has lived in the same block of police flats—subsidised government housing provided to policemen and their families—since birth. Following the death of her father, Jane and her mother must prepare to leave. As their moving date approaches, Jane reflects on a youth spent within the confines of the police flats. Memories surface from her past as a chubby-cheeked high school student still questioning her sexuality. These memories bring past secrets to light: secrets Jane has never told anyone.

Popular South Korean actors Seo In Guk & Ahn Jae Hyun were featured in the latest issue of Cosmopolitan Korea. They recently starred in Kwill’s album “All The Way”. Their unbridled chemistry was much appreciated with catcalls for BL show or movie starring the two stars. Both actors have expressed their willingness for the same.

Sugar Dog Life

Fresh visual released for upcoming Japanese adaptation, “Sugar Dog Life”. Starring Tawada Hideya and Tanaka Koki in lead roles, the show is set to premiere on August 3. Sakuraba, a college student with a baby face, is mistaken as a minor by police officer Amazawa, but they soon form an odd relationship.
